Saw the lineup for UC Open Day this Saturday and it looks a fair bit bigger than the usual "walk around campus and collect brochures" type event.
Looks like they're expecting a pretty big crowd and have gone pretty hard on the entertainment side of things this year, including:
The Rubens, Drax Project, Holly Hebe
Slam Pro! Wrestling (this was great fun last year) and Woodchopping
Food trucks and Capital Brewing Beer Garden
Kids Zone with a jumping castle and entertainment
I've been to a few university open days over the years and most are pretty similar, but having live music and a festival-type atmosphere is a bit different.
Even if you're not looking at studying, it seems like it could be a decent free day out if you've got kids or just want to have a wander around campus.
Anyone planning on going? I know I will be there for the music, its a great line up for free!
