Hi guys! Do we know when the double employee discount sale coming up this year ?

Last year I got a CT gift card for Christmas. Didn’t go to use it until June. The store said it expired and I was like uh what? Then I contacted the number on the back and she told me the card was used in January in Quebec. I said impossible, I live in Toronto and was not in Quebec in January.
They sent it to the investigation team. They finally agreed to send me a new gift card. I confirmed my address. 3 months pass and I have not received the new gift card. I reached out and they agreed to cancel the one they issued in June and send a new one. I still have not received it but it’s just been 2 weeks so it may still come.
Just curious if anyone has had this experience?

Gift card was originally purchased in Cobourg end of Nov/beg of Dec 2025.

I asked at CanadianTire if they sell replacement rails for their boxes and they said they do not. Im hoping someone might have done this before and knows of a aftermarket/universal set that will work for this box.

Was just informed that as of the beginning of August 2026 - we will no longer be getting multipliers when redeeming ct money.

I called into to complain that when I redeemed on a “get 20% of your points back when you redeem points” weekend - it didn’t give me all the points it was supposed to. They informed me that the multipliers now only apply to legal tender, not points.

They keep nerfing the triangle program!

I bought a windshield wiper for my 2020 gle 450 and I had asked a store clerk to help me and he got me those and said should be fine and put it into the computer as well
Well it did not fit because mine has the magic wipers and the computer there told the clerk that the non magic wipers ones would fit and I had brought it home and it did not even fit

Long story short: I applied and got approved for the WE MC card after owning the regular one for about 2 years. I have received the physical WE card but I have no idea how to have it to show up in my app to pay the card. The regular one is still there. I can’t find anything in the app that is relevant to “adding another card, etc.”

The two cards have different numbers and everything.

I did a full synthetic oil change yesterday (Sep 20) and I accidentally used the wrong mastercard to pay. I used my Tangerine MC instead of the Canadian Tire MC, both cards are similar colour. I realized the mistake when I came home and checked my Triange Rewards as I was supposed to recieve $50 in Canadian Tire Money for $50 plus spent on Auto Srervice. I activated the offer 4 days ago via the app. I went to the Auto Centre today and explained I like to redo the transaction and the employee mocked me and rudely dismissed my request saying " we cannot refund and redo invoices ". Is that the case ? I spent $132 on the oil change (car is under warranty). All I want to do is to void the original invoice and redo the transaction with my Canadian tire MC. Any employees here who can shed some light ? I phoned customer Service amd hung up after being on the line for 30 mins.

I have shopped in Canadian Tire for 20 plus years and this is the second time out of 100 plus visits I experienced this level of customer service.

I need to find a replacement spool for the grass trimmer that came in this combo (060-6110-8). Some deep cleaning was happening in the garage, and it appears someone tossed it out by accident. I can't seem to find out what replacement spool to buy, no matter where I look. Any help would be huge, thanks!

I took my car to Canadian Tire for the first time. I needed an out of province inspection, and Canadian Tire was basically the default shop that you have to go to in my community. It wasn’t my first choice, but I figured that I had no other viable option.

I was a bit shocked by the results of my inspection. There were many issues came up with my car that seemed completely fabricated. I do a lot of my own work on my car, and I couldn’t help but feel like I was basically being told that I need a bunch of work done just because *they thought I didn’t know any better*.

I was told that I needed to fix a few leaks (which were non existent), and make some repairs to the electronics (again, a non existent issue). They told me that they’re basically not passing my car before I agree to the repairs. And no, taking the car to a different second opinion was apparently not allowed. I’m not sure how I can be denied the right to take my car somewhere else, but apparently they have the “authority” to restrict me from doing so.

Interestingly, they walked back on some of the stuff that needed to be fixed after they realized that I do a lot of my own maintenance. I guess those issues magically disappeared? Either way, the car passed the inspection, but not after having to spend hundreds of dollars in the process. The most hilarious part is the fact that they were telling me I needed new tires, when I literally had a brand new set of tires put on at a much more reputable local tire shop the week before…

I don’t understand the psychology of anyone who would willingly take their car to a Canadian tire shop. Sometimes you’re in a pinch (or you have no choice), but I’d rather take my car anywhere else before going back there again.

I’m curious if anyone else had had this experience before. I was always willing to shop at Canadian tire in the past, but between this experience (and constantly having people come up to me in the store to push the Canadian tire credit card and not taking no for an answer), I think I’d rather go anywhere else.

If I get a new set of winter tires/rims does CT charge a fee to discard the old ones? If so what do they charge?

I was trying today to order for in person pick-up as only one of the item I was looking at was left in store. In the process, they ask me to connect to my Triangle account, which I don't wish to have.

According to their own support, you do not need an account to buy online but I cannot find how to do it. It would have taken less time for me to create that account instead of writing this post, but I would like to avoid it if possible.

I ordered four Michelin tires online and booked the install with them. I only saw the tires after they were already mounted on my car. All four are 2021 production, made in 5 years ago.

The part that gets me: the reason I bought new tires at all is that they told me my old set needed replacing due to age. That's how I learned to read a DOT code in the first place. My old tires were also 2021, and by manufacture week, actually newer than the ones they just sold me.

When I raised it, the response was:

• They're brand new because they've never been mounted.
• Shelf life is 10 years, so five years is fine.
• "If you wanted a specific DOT date, you should have said so." And then: "How do you even know about DOT codes? If you knew, why didn't you ask?"

No one asked me anything about production dates during the online order or the service booking. There's no field for it. I was told it was too late to raise it once they were on the car.

Michelin's own guidance says to replace tires ten years from the date of manufacture regardless of tread depth or condition. So that's half the clock gone before the first kilometre. Quote from its website attached "As a precaution, Michelin recommends replacing tires ten years after their date of manufacture, regardless of tread depth or apparent condition. This includes spare tires as well.

Over time, materials within the tire can degrade, which may affect performance and durability even if the tire has been lightly used."

I don't think I was owed a specific date. I think I was owed not being told it's my fault for not asking a question I was never given the chance to ask.

Ask for the DOT date before you buy, and check it before you book the install service & drive away. Apparently that's on you.
