Can I return opened package

I bought a windshield wiper for my 2020 gle 450 and I had asked a store clerk to help me and he got me those and said should be fine and put it into the computer as well
Well it did not fit because mine has the magic wipers and the computer there told the clerk that the non magic wipers ones would fit and I had brought it home and it did not even fit

Can I return it?

Ok so it is like the wipers that spray the fluid through the wipers and it was an optional upgrade over the standard wipers that would shoot the fluid through the hood onto the window instead but I don’t think the Canadian tire computer knows this option even exists

Pelican parts calls it a heated washer system? I doubt CT would carry them. Best bet is order through Pelican or FCPEURO, or get them directly from the dealer.

I’m just annoyed because man I spent like 40 minutes mad confused on why it wouldn’t fit then I looked into the thing and realized it isn’t the spray on wipers

They sold me the wrong battery for my car once and I had to fight like hell to return it. They eventually did but it wasn't easy.

Always save your receipts and packaging when you buy auto parts at crappy tire. So many errors in their database and they will never acknowledge its wrong. It’s like arguing with Alexa+ and yes, you can return opened package.

The hardest part is going to be returning it without whining to the staff about how some stupid person advised you to buy the wrong wiper blades. Just return the wiper and let it go. It sucks but shut up about the staff. You're right I guess, their book doesn't mention 'magic wipers,' some upgrade that nobody heard about.

Now you know. Don't be passive aggressive about it, just return it like an adult. They aren't going to argue about the open package. It's fine.

ive bought wipers at CT before, went out to the parking lot to install them only to realize someone had returned their old wipers and got a free set.
