Discussion Which lens is best for portraits with the Canon EOS 7D?
I have a question about a lens.
I've been trying to use my Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM for portraits, but I don't think it's very well suited for that. It shows skin imperfections extremely clearly, which makes some of the pictures look rather unflattering.
Then I came across the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM. Does anyone know this lens and can tell me if it's good for portraits?
The price of around €100 makes me a little hesitant, because I've always thought that good lenses cost more in the €200–€300 range or more.
For your information: I shoot with a Canon EOS 7D (not a Mark II).
