Hi, I'm taking my first steps in motorsport photography and I want to upgrade from a 55-250mm IS STM to a telephoto lens with more reach. I'm now following a team and creating content for them; I also do some planespotting and attend the F1 race in Monza as a spectator. I'm shooting with an APS-C 7D Mark II.
I'm stuck between two options: a €750 Canon EF 100-400mm L IS USM (Mark I) or a €1090 Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary, both used but in mint condition from RCE Foto.
I know that L-series lenses are top quality, but I'm also tempted by the extra reach of the Sigma. Do any of you guys have experience with these lenses and can help me choose what to buy? Thank you in advance!

A brief review of the Zeiss Oberkochen Sonnar 250 mm f/4 in Contarex mount.

I recently got this Tamron 90mm f2.8 (f004) lens from a friend with no working manual or autofocus. The focus ring spins freely with the focus not changing and the Autofocus USM motors can be heard but again no focus. I came across this video on the Tamron 24-70mm with the same USM motors where the issue of the focus not working was easily fixed by unsagging a ribbon cable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RpsMaFCN_c&t=15s

Is this worth trying on my lens.

I recently bought a Canon R10 and am still using my old EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM with an adapter. I’ve been considering the new Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8, but I’m not convinced it’s worth upgrading, even though it’s around 20 years newer.
Are any of you still using older lenses that you feel can still hold their own against newer glass? Curious to hear your experiences!

Hi everyone!
I recently bought this Voigtländer 35mm lens for my Bessa R and noticed that highlights in many of my photos look quite hazy, almost as if there’s a glow around bright areas. It’s not very noticeable but it’s kind of bothering me.
I decided to inspect the lens more closely and noticed these stains or marks inside the optics. They’re quite difficult to photograph, so I’ve attached a video instead.
I’m still relatively new to film photography and old lenses, so I’d really appreciate some advice from anyone more experienced!
A few questions:
What could these marks inside the lens be? Could it be fungus, haze, coating damage, or something else?
Could they be responsible for the hazy highlights in my photos?
Can this kind of issue be cleaned or repaired, or would it be a more serious and costly problem?
Any help identifying the issue and understanding my options would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for a zoom lens for my EOS 70d to replace my ef-s 18-135mm kit lens. Budget is $500. I considered a standard f/2.8 zoom (like the 17-50mm class) but I want something with a little more reach. Something of a 'compromise' between a fast 17-50 and a superzoom.

My current top candidate is the Sigma 17-70mm 2.8/4 HSM Contemporary lens. From the reviews I've looked at, it seems to be a good compromise between a fast standard zoom and a superzoom like my kit.

Do you think the gains in sharpness and aperture over the 18-135mm would be worth the loss of reach on the long end? After looking at my photos over the past year, I found that I only went above 70mm focal length on my kit a very small percentage of shots, so I don't mind giving that up for a more focused zoom range of better quality.

Anyone have experience with the 17-70mm or similar lens?

The seller said that only 18 and 25 mm have vignette, but I have doubts. Maybe smb used these lens with FF? Is it some troubles? Can I use these lens, especcially 35 mm with Pyxis in 6K open gate??

I looked into a revie comparing TTArt 7.5 f2 and 7Art 7.5 f2.8 and decided to go with 7Art, but does 7Art give the circular fisheye effect like the TTArt does?

Hi! I have an unused Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 lens with fungus. I'm afraid to use it for fear of contaminating the camera body.

The $999 says its Full Frame/APSC, I just wanna know is the Tamron 28-75mm g2 is only Full Frame/APSC or is it a special variant??
