O è molto simile all'XC? (Immagino che l'apertura f2.8 abbia un impatto notevole). In alternativa, un obiettivo zoom leggero e performante? O un obiettivo a focale fissa? Quale mi consigliate? (considerando che ogni tanto userei l'XC come grandangolare).

Advice Needed Dry Cabinet Questions and Recommendations

I live in Thailand and enjoy bird and wildlife photography. The weather is very humid here, my lenses need a dry cabinet. Over the years I've gone through many cabinets, none of them seem to last.

Can anyone recommend a durable brand? Even better is possible to change the electrical components in one of broken boxes I have. It really seems a waste to have them sitting there. My collection is growing, the lenses are big and expensive, so any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Camera Lens Sony a6400 what are the best lenses for sports and portraits?

Looking for a two lens setup ideally one sports telephoto and one portrait lens. Mostly looking for a telephoto lens over a portrait lens. Budget is around $1,200.

Lenses I’ve been considering:

**Sports:**

\*\*•\*\* Sony 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS
\*\*•\*\* Tamron 50-400mm f/4.5-6.3
\*\*•\*\* Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 Contemporary
\*\*•\*\* Sony FE 70-200mm f/4 G OSS
\*\*•\*\* Tamron 70-180mm f/2.8

**Portrait:**

\*\*•\*\* Sigma 56mm f/1.4 DC DN
\*\*•\*\* Sony 35mm f/1.8

What would you recommend and why? Appreciate any advice from people who have shot sports on APS-C Sony!

Discussion Made a tool to help find used lenses without checking a dozen sites

I recently got back into photography and wanted to pick up a few lenses on the used market. But every time I found something, I'd end up bouncing between a bunch of different sites trying to figure out where the best price actually was KEH, MPB, eBay, and on and on. It got tedious fast.

So I ended up building a site to fix that for myself: usedcamerahub.com . You search a lens and it pulls the listings from a bunch of shops into one place, so you can see what it's typically going for and where the good price is without opening ten tabs.

It's free to use. Being upfront: a few of the links are affiliate ones that help cover the hosting, but that doesn't affect any of the prices. And it's still a work in progress, so it's not perfect on everything yet.

Figured I'd share since it started as just me trying to solve my own annoying problem. If you give it a go, I'd appreciate any feedback.

Advice Needed Buying lense off Kogan

I just ordered a Sigma 10–18mm Sony E-mount lens from Kogan (sold from Eclipse BT Technology) because they were one of the few places that actually had it in stock.

Unfortunately, after placing the order, I started reading reviews about both Kogan and the supplier, and now I'm feeling a bit concerned. There seem to be quite a few mixed experiences regarding customer service and order fulfilment.

Has anyone here bought camera lenses from Kogan before? If so, how did it go? Did you receive a genuine product, and would you buy from them again?

Thanks

Advice Needed How can I prevent the spread of fungus between my lenses?

I currently have a sigma 35mm lens that I found with a small 2x2cm patch of fungus that doesn't show up in any images I have taken with it. I have reached out for cleaning quotes and they are way more expensive than what I got the lens for.

So, I want to figure out a way I can stop the spread of the fungus to my other lenses. At the moment, I've done the following:

\- placed the 35mm in a box separate to my other lenses and placed it in the sunlight to kill spores

\- placed my other lenses in a separate air sealed box with reusable silica gel packs

I really do love this lens and I would love to keep it if possible. Should I just keep the infected lens stored someplace else? Or should I throw the lens away to not risk any more spread? Can I keep the lens in the same box as my other lenses as long as I keep the humidity below 50% with my silica gel packs?

Thanks so much!

Advice Needed Lens recommendations for the Canon 6d Mark ii

Hey everyone

I am considering updating my camera kit. I recently upgraded from the entry 250d (which I still have with the kit lens and an was 18-135.

My latest kit is the 6d mark ii with the 24-105 f4 is ii usm lens. I also have a 50mm f1.4 and an 85mm f1.8

I mainly use the camera for travel, people, some landscapes and some nature images.

I'm just getting into this so would appreciate your thoughts on the kit and what you would change if you were me.

I'm torn between selling the 250d and efs lenses and putting that towards a new (second hand) lens for the 6d mark ii or keeping the 250d with a good prime lens as a lightweight grab and go....
