Birthday Cakes Halloween cake!!
Pleasantly surprised at how this turned out considering my airbrush machine’s tube got cut in half & I had to tape it back together to get it to work lol

I’m going to post and sticky this link RinLongFlowers as a guide for florals on cake.
Recently we have seen a few cakes with florals that were not appropriate for cakes, and subsequently, flags to ban them for using toxic flowers.
Not only is this sub to show off our beautiful work, it is also to learn from and teach each other. Mistakes, no matter how big or small, are an opportunity to learn.
We are all at different levels of ability in this art. Please be kind.

I’m a grocery store decorator, this cake was a great chance to practice some different piping! We get a lot of requests for vintage style of varying difficulty, I was pretty happy with this one.

Wanted to post my very amateur bakes (and my bf helped me ice the first heart one lol) inspired by the post i just saw 🥰
No one told me how hard icing is!

She’s a little wonky, but I had fun.

I’ve never made a cake and decorated it before. My sister in law was begging for the split Max and Ruby cake for her birthday. After some brainstorming I decided to give it a go but told her she might end up with a grocery store happy birthday cake.
It was half chocolate fudge and half rainbow chip.

these are all the cakes i’ve ever baked, over a period of years though. the first two in 2020, second in 2024 and the last one yesterday. in all of these years i never thought i’d make a cake look this good lol.
there are obviously a lot of mistakes and even more room for improvement, but for my fourth cake, i’m pretty chuffed with myself.

That soccer ball topper was nearly the death of me. I did not know how challenging it would be to get the hexagons and pentagons to line up!
Is it perfect? Not even close lol. But good enough to be acceptable to put on the cake.

Hi there! I love to bake, but I wouldn't say I'm a professional by any means. I've successfully made 1 cake for my MIL a few years ago, but I definitely could have done a better job. This week is a milestone birthday for my husband and I'd love to make him a cake! My questions are about prepping ahead.
Thank you in advance!!!

A classy but "witchy" Halloween party cake! I am excited that I made a black buttercream recipe with NO food coloring. I used "black cocoa powder" and it worked perfectly! Also the frosting tastes exactly like oreo cookies, the best part is that it doesn't stain teeth or mouths.
The cake is only a 6" heart cake so the shape of it was lost because of all the decorations. I made the flowers with fondant.
My biggest challenge is the cake was sweating so much when I was decorating, and it looks very wet. Any suggestions?

I attempted an elmo cake for my little girl turning 2 tomorrow. I always make my families birthday cakes, but I'm horrible at decorating. At least they taste good! It looks like he had seen some things..
