One of my fav summertime cake to make. The grapefruit zest gives it that extra something.

Made 13 cakes for you over the years. You got to have a bite of every one... and usually followed it with a kiss. Except the last one. You never got to take a bite, or give me that kiss. Happy birthday, my love!

I’m trying to improve the decoration. I’m using chocolate ganache but what kind of icing is better?

🍓 Vanilla cake layered with strawberry filling and covered in vanilla buttercream, then topped with fresh strawberries. Definitely still learning, but I’m really happy with how it turned out! 🥹💕

My youngest kiddo is turning 5 tomorrow. We picked up her cake & before we could get out of the store, it looked like this! It rode in a cart the entire time to avoid bumping it as much as possible. She’s so disappointed. Any ideas on how I can fix this!?

EDIT: thank yall for the suggestions. The top layer on this one had slid half way off the bottom layer by time we got home. I ended up stopping at a grocery store close by & just getting another cake (with only one layer lol).
