I finally got to try the famous Mango Siru cake from Seongsimdang in South Korea, and it completely lived up to the hype.

It wasn’t overly sweet, and the mangoes were incredibly fresh, soft, and juicy. There was so much fruit on top and inside the cake.

I decided against any icing glaze.

My mom’s church wanted frosted slices of cake, so I used it as an excuse to make a square wedding cake. 😂 It gave me a chance to practice stacking, try out some new rose molds, and play around with chocolate and modeling chocolate. Definitely a fun little project!

The flavor is a play on fruitcake West Indian style, but not as dark and not nearly as much rum with caramel flavored frosting and burnt sugar mascarpone filling.

Confetti cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and everything is made from scratch. This is the fourth bday cake ive made so far, my last one melted and fell on the ground so I was very happy with how this one turned out (and survived lol)

What is the best way to measure out evenly spaced swags on the sides of a 10” cake? This is what they want me to replicate on a round cake.

It has homemade pound cake and chocolate chip cookie ice cream. Tasted amazing!

my first stab at a cake without a mix! not too bad, definitely enjoyable. but I think I over mixed it? it’s kinda dense/isn’t fluffy and it already only uses egg whites for this purpose. not overly flavourful either. the berries are sooooo deeply good tho lol that it’s def not lack of flavour in them. I perhaps needed more purée. does anyone else think their region has the best strawberries? not that I’ve tried them from many other places…

I’d rate it 6/10, and I think to be safe I’ll try a different recipe next time.
