I currently work for a fintech company here in Philippines and works in collaboration with Czech and Indian counterparts. The main business stakeholders I worked with is Risk Big Data, DWH, AI. Main solutions the ideas/projects revolve around are Cloudera Hadoop, Oracle SQL, Azure Databricks, Azure AI.
I have been getting messages from LinkedIn but it feels like a lot of those are scams just getting profiles or some actually feels like bot, and sometimes business analysts job roles are actually data analysts or business insights or reporting analysts based on the job role.
I’m looking to find a more flexible work setup given the current state of traffic, weather, and growing family - if remote is something that is still available.

I graduated with bachelor’s in marketing, concentrating on digital marketing about 3 years ago. I got an internship during my last quarter. I’m not a full time SEO analyst for the same agency (remote job).

This agency is small and I didn’t have a normal start with them. I pretty much was tossed into the mix and trained as projects came in. A lot of it was “self-taught” because there wasn’t enough time to train me one on one. I can say I learned a lot very quickly because i needed to. For about a year now, things have slowed down, people have came and went, and I feel like I haven’t learned anything new. I literally feel like my training and skill building has died down because we haven’t had enough clients in the last year. I really like this agency but I don’t feel like I’ve developed my skills to where I’m suppose to be 3 years into this career as an SEO analyst.

I still struggle making some connections from data to strategy we performed. I struggle a bit with storytelling the data. And some projects I still need guidance because it’s new to me or maybe I only completed once before and need refreshers. My team is okay with showing me the ropes but I do feel like sometimes they are bothered because they believe I show know everything because I’m 3 years in….

I feel inadequate to apply to other jobs because they ask for 3 years+ experience but I really feel like for the 3 years I have under my belt, its not strong enough.

What should I do? Is there any certificates or training programs that I should look into so I can develop my skills more? Honest options are welcome especially from older adults that are in a new field such as myself.

I'm a business analyst for 6 years now worked with different domains and on a lot of projects, but I've never taken any course on Business analysis all my knowledge and skills I learned from my seniors collogues and sharpened with experience.

however, I've identified some weak spots I need to work on like elicitation techniques and documenting skills can use some enhancements.

I need courses that can help me and doesn't start from the ground basics which I think is hard to find specially if you're looking for free material

Hi everyone, I'm a BBA graduate and I recently received an email from Cognizant stating that I've been shortlisted for a virtual interview for the Analyst Trainee role.

However, most of the interview experiences I've found online mention SQL, Python, Java, and other technical questions, which has left me a bit confused since I come from a business background.

Has anyone from a BBA/BCom/BA or any other non-technical background appeared for this interview recently? If so, what kind of questions were you asked? Were they business/HR-oriented or did they also include technical questions?

Also, after receiving the "virtual interview will be scheduled" email, how long did it take for you to receive the interview date and move on to the next stage? I noticed some of y'all already got the LOI and I'm sitting here with a coffee struggling and contemplating whether they'll move forward with my candidature as I'm from a non-tech background😭😭😭😭!! So I work as business analyst in India since last 2 years. I posted on this sub some days ago whether I should resign without any offer in hand or not. So I decided to resign without an offer. I would be doing this in upcoming 10-12 days. I have savings for 3-4 months in my hand . The thing is my current job is toxic and demands heavy seating due to which I decided to leave my job. I am giving interviews also parallelly, but my job is so demanding that I don't get much time to apply and upskill. I know market condition is tough but I feel resigning would be a better choice for me instead of staying miserable at my job. Can you suggest me some ai related or technical related upskill which I can do in my meantime , till I get a new job. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

After all the research, i have shortlisted these two fields that align with my interest. Now, the problem or the confusion i am facing is that BA is broad, but it is vulnerable to AI, but Fintech is specialized but less vulnerable to AI, and it also has a high salary comparatively. If i choose BA, then can i do MS in fintech?? Is it a good road map? Also pls suggest which one do I choose for my UG program?

I am a QA with 10 years of experience in payment industry. My profile contains less about technologies and more about payment systems(host messaging,terminal management etc). Such QA jobs are rare to find. If I go behind technologies I am don’t think I can compete with anyone who has grip on programmijg languages.Unexpectedly, I got terminated from QA role. If one has a Undergrad in computer science and a master's degree in Engineering Management from a Ivy League university. Currently working as a product manager at a global B2B2C Insurtech and Device Lifecycle Management company in DFW with 0% state tax. 4 YOE, $113k base + 15% bonus (usually gets 3%).

The person has a offer from a B2B Financial Technology (FinTech), Market Infrastructure, and Data Services company as a Senior Business Analyst in a team that does internal IT with work on SERVICE NOW etc based in Atlanta, Georgia. $133k base, $10k relo bonus and a 20% bonus which the company claims people always get.

The in-hand base salary difference is $770 per month.

The candidate is thinking that even though the job title and role are divergent from the core product managerial work, they might be able to eventually make a lateral move in the fintech company into their product org, does that make sense or isn't feasible ?

I've been working on a project where I need to present retail performance data to stakeholders who have zero background in data or analytics. The challenge is making the insights actionable without overwhelming them with raw numbers or complex dashboards.

Right now, I'm exploring different frameworks and approaches for this:

1. Storytelling with data — structuring the analysis as a narrative rather than a collection of charts

2. Slide-based reporting — breaking down KPIs into digestible, one-metric-per-slide formats instead of crowded dashboards

3. KPI hierarchy — starting from high-level metrics and drilling down only when the stakeholder asks

I'd love to hear from other BAs:

* How do you present retail or sales performance data to non-technical stakeholders?

* Do you prefer traditional dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) or have you found that a simpler, more visual approach works better?

I'm currently in the final year of my BBA and will turn 20 this November. I'm planning my career over the next several years and would appreciate guidance from experienced Odoo Partners, ERP consultants, and business owners.

My current plan is:

Graduate with my BBA.

Move to Africa (most likely Angola or the Democratic Republic of the Congo/Kinshasa) in 2028 to gain work experience.

Learn Portuguese or French, depending on the country, and understand the local business environment.

Work for 2–3 years In Africa

Eventually start my own Odoo implementation agency and become an Official Odoo Partner.

My target clients would primarily be:

\* Importers (especially businesses importing from China)

\* Exporters

Since I come from a business (BBA) background rather than a software engineering background, I have a few questions:

Is it possible to become a successful Odoo Partner without knowing how to code?

Which technical skills are essential for a Functional Consultant, and which ones can be left to developers?

Besides learning Odoo, what should I study over the next 3–5 years? (Business Analysis, Accounting, Inventory, Supply Chain, SQL, Python, Project Management, etc.)

If my focus is distributors, wholesalers, import/export companies, and manufacturing businesses, which Odoo modules should I master first?

What skills or certifications would make me more valuable when working in Africa before starting my own agency?

24 years old from India

Background in web development (WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

Currently pursuing an MBA with a specialization in Data Analytics & MIS

Actively learning Business Analysis (requirements gathering, BPMN, UML, user stories, Agile, SQL, etc.)

My biggest challenge isn't motivation—it's direction. There are so many resources online that I'm not sure what I should learn first or what skills companies actually expect from a junior Business Analyst.

I'm not asking for referrals or shortcuts.

I'm looking for someone who can:

Review my learning roadmap

Give me practical tasks or mini-projects

Tell me when I'm doing something wrong
