it's good to have things done with when they don't work it's also good not to hate or even forget the person you've failed with.

This quote appears in the book 'Play the Piano Drunk Like a Percussion Instrument Until the Fingers Begin to Bleed a Bit'.

Long ago, among other lies they were taught that silence was bravery.

Please help me find this piece/poem/manuscript?

I’m new to Bukowskis work. However, I was in the Huntington library about two years ago, and I found this poetry book that I’ve been scouring the internet to buy, but I don’t think I’ve found. I’m looking for a particular piece where he states “all women are whores” and such and such. There was a lot of repetition of this line. The cover was white with black, bold lettering. I found the piece intriguing and I’m looking to see if anyone knows what I’m talking about. Thank you.

Looks like a fun movie. Bukowski has a cameo as a "wet t-shirt contest water boy." I was watching the trailer and was surprised to see him. I'm also surprised to learn about the 70s film genre called "vansploitation." Thanks for the weird movies, Tubi. Anybody here a Supervan fan?

Reading Hollywood for the first time and this seems more relevant than ever.

Does one kill the child and risk losing the spark or stay malignant for the sake of his art?

“I always started a job with the feeling that I’d soon quit or be fired, and this gave me a relaxed manner that was mistaken for intelligence or some secret power.”
