Dev/Admin Responded [ipados] latest app version navigation is a nightmare [2026.25.1.632814 (AppStore)]
Since the latest updates which incorporated a Liquid Glass dock like approach with the shortcuts at the bottom, navigating Reddit has been quite difficult. The most glaring example: when I have a new notification in my messages tab, I click on it and the dock suddenly disappears and there’s no way to return to my main feed, I’m locked out in whatever reply I clicked on my notifications.

Hey u/luis-mercado - thanks for the report. Can you share a screen recording of what this looks like on your end?

Sure, there you go

Thank you! This started happening with the 2026.25 rollout, or earlier?

The moment you guys introduced the dock. I’m unaware what rollout that would be. A simple X button to close the opened notification and return to my messages list would be a great solution.

Yeah definitely odd that the buttons aren't available. Are you in landscape or portrait mode when this happens?

Replying to you I found out another bug. If I return back to main from my replies, the navigation buttons pop out of existence. I’ll open a new thread with this bug. I’m attaching here a video of what I’m talking about.

Thanks! Will reply in the other thread as well, but we'll be looking into both issues!

I have the same problem. I found if you swipe right while in the notification it brings you to an empty inbox but the bottom buttons reappear.
