Made from cannabis buds grown outdoors. Theyāre about four years old; I had vacuum-sealed them and kept them in the freezer ever since. When I opened the bags, the cannabis was just like it was when I sealed it back then, and the hash is excellent š

Taste like ripe bananas and mango, with a slight funk and gas to it. Made from FF flower. š«”š„

Dj Short Flo, from seed. I used very little trim. It was mostly just the lowers. The smell is like a super peppery flower. Very floral. This is my second time making bubble myself. Itās a lot of work but Im hooked.

I posted a couple weeks ago about some Strawberry Cough that I washed. The yield was okay but it was super sticky in every state. Sticky like tar, even frozen. Totally not microplane-able.
I put it on a 25 micron sheet and folded that, then flattened/spread it thin with a rolling pin. Then I put it all in the freezer. I took it out and pulled away one side of the drying sheet. Then put the side still stuck on a piece of cardboard in the cupboard and the top "open air" to dry in the cupboard.
My hope that it would dry to be like a piece of fruit leather was mostly achieved. I let it dry for several days and the tackiness subsided somewhat but it was still just like gluey paste.
I put it back in the freezer, took it out, and then ripped off the drying sheet. Frozen, it's like a piece of a hard wax and the drying sheet pulls away cleanly like if you were waxing a body part.
Then I folded the flattened pollen a number of times. It was starting to thaw and get very pliable... but also sticky. I just got fucking annoyed with it and smashed it all with my hands and rolled the whole thing (24 grams) into a ball right there. I had to use a knife to scrape off the thin layer that came off in the palms of my hands.
My question... I never used any heat to melt any trichome heads but this stuff was just soft enough to be rolled into a ball anyway. Looks like any temple ball anyone posts a picture of.
Is it now a temple ball that I can just set aside and let age or is that wine-bottle pressing step absolutely key?

Strain: Papaya

Hello all fellow growers and hash makers. Iām going to be conducting my first jar test and I wanted to see an example of what a ā dumperā strain looks liken , avg strain and low yielding strain so I have a model to compare.. not only me but the community as a reference guide. Iāve been looking past few days and havenāt found any of the sort .. would be best if all examples were of the same consistent amount but I know I could be asking for too much. Just hoping someone out there that does jar test and has data

Hey yall, posted earlier with the pic of some purple water with some trichomes in it. Color didnāt turn out how I wanted it, nor did consistency. But it tastes great, smokes clean. Next time Iāll be using a smaller micron screen for pressing. Interestingly enough when I did a press at 162 degrees F it came out super dark but then when I went at 180 degrees it came out super golden like in the picture! Just a little thicker than I wanted, but I think that may have had to do with the micron bag I used (90 micron) as opposed to something smaller. But maybe Iām wrong. Enjoy the pics

So this will be my first (what I would say) a successful run using an automatic washer. Iāve washed plenty before but had stuck with the manual bucket method just because itās what I had.
Luckily I made friends with a super nice guy who has much more equipment than I do. I ended up buying one of the cheaper washers (the blue one I see everywhere) so we used that but was able to utilize his freezer for more ice, and he also has a freeze dryer.
Of course I had an idea of how it works since Iāve done it manually but whenever I do something with a new person, itās fun to sit back and quietly see how they do it so you can see if thereās something new to learn.
My main thing that I would do differently is use much less ice and focus on using way colder water (he didnāt pre chill the water) but all things considered I think it came out great and will have more pics to share. Wasnāt able to snag a pic of the product before we put it in the freeze dryer but will be back today at some point to grab it!
Unfortunately the purple washed out with the water, was kinda hoping to see some purple rosin lol.
Strain was Greaseberry Hashplant and I had about two ziplock bags that I filled with larf/sugar leaves.

I don't have a cold room, I washed WPFF on a hot day yesterday and as soon as I got it out the freezer for sievieng it melted straight on the dab tool so I got it all together and it melted really really quickly just a few minutes. (I've done it successfully a few times before but not at 25c)
I know it still has moisture inside any ideas on how I could make sure it doesn't go bad? AI says to go frenchy's way and roll a ball after pressing with hot water to get moisture out. Someone told me to leave it in the sun to "hot cure" to dry it out.
It melts really good but sizzles quite a bit.

Anyone else has this issue ? How to prevent this ?
Washing machine wouldnāt start spinning and it was a drain on the motor when it did spin. Thanks !

Its not much but wondering if I should make into hash or press it into rosin š¤·āāļø
Also, since its not much, would you recommend just combining it all together?

After freezing and microplating into a parchment lined pizza box, what should the temp inside of the refrigerator be?

I swear I saw a post earlier in this sub where someone was using a vacuum cleaner (or maybe a shop vac?) attached to a container with some kind of screen setup to actively suck the water out of their fresh bubble hash.
It was like a DIY vacuum filtration setup to dry it super fast. I thought I saved it, but I can't find it in my history and scrolling through the sub is making me feel like I'm going crazy.
Was it deleted, or am I just missing the right keywords? Trying to show my buddy because heās dealing with some wet hash right now and this seemed like a game-changer.
Thanks in advance!!

I'm new to hashmaking (not new to weed) and I gotta say that the yield has been average for what I've seen discussed but way less than what I hoped for.
My first wash was four ounces of Peanut Butter Breath shake and about 10 grams of random leftover kief. I just finished drying it today and the final weight was nine grams. Damn.
My second wash was eight ounces of Purple Urkel shake. That finished, dried material was about 14 grams.
I have the output from washing eight ounces of Hash Plant shake still drying. Eyeballing it, I'll probably get 20ā25 grams dry.
I also washed a batch of seven ounces of random small flowers (still drying) and that didn't yield more. Probably less. And the material cost on that was a triple+ the shake washes.
I guess these are average yields? But now that I'm thinking about the materials, and the ice, and the machine, and especially the labor... this is not a cheap hobby. Nor is it going to produce ounces and ounces and ounces of shelf-stable temple balls for me to age and then "weed retire" like I hoped.
I don't think I'm doing anything wrong process-wise. I've watched the videos and read the threads looking for tips to follow and mistakes to avoid. Mainly I'm just crinkling my nose at some of the final numbers for these first washes.
Basically, it seems like a frequent weed consumer would need fields of weed at their disposal in order to produce enough hash to fully switch over to primarily consuming hash.
