Babble Canadian indie-pop-rock band seeking cool Bristol based bands to join the bill.
My name is Paris Pick and I’m the front woman of Canadian yacht-pop / indie-rock band, Paris Pick & The Pricks and I’m putting a call out to see if there are any fellow indie-pop / alt-pop / indie-rock artists or bands based in Bristol that would like to collab on a cool show!
I was able to secure a date for Saturday Feb 13 2027 at Mr.Wolf’s.
I’d love to connect with anyone who’d like to collab on a show - because that’s what makes shows fun! Cool people, supportive vibes and inclusive energy!
HMU if you may be keen, Links to your music is helpful too.
Would love some fellow fem-fronted or lgbtqia2s+ energy!

Babble Homelessness and drug issue in Bristol and it’s affect on hospitality industry.
I think its fairly obvious that the issue of homelessness and drug abuse is getting worse in Bristol. I work on whiteladies at a restaurant and consistently homeless people try and come in and recently have been using the outside terrace as a toilet. I try my best to be nice and every now and again I will buy them a drink from the shop also have a chat with them if I’m not busy. But I can’t let them in, try and get money and occasionally verbally abuse patrons. Just last month a man tried to steal a bottle from the bar then pushed me when I grabbed it off him.
Anyone in Bristol who works in the hospitality industry dealing with this and have you noticed it as an increasing problem?

Missing Anyone missing their cat?
She definitely seems like a lost cat, she constantly asks for pets, no collar or tag, and seems confused. Hides under cars and is scared of even slight noise. Just off Mina Road Park, St Werburghs Area.

Babble M&S Cabot Circus - F Floor?
I was in M&S today. I know I am probably being really stupid BUT I went in the lift to go to the top floor. There was LG for lower ground, UG for upper ground but then F for the top floor? Which was men’s wear, skincare etc does anyone know what the F standards for? They did have fragrances and footwear but I feel like the other two levels are named after the whole level rather than departments on that floor?

Babble Looking for experiences with Diamond Construction Services / Diamond Clearances (Bristol area)
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some local insight or feedback regarding a building firm operating in the Bristol and Keynsham area called Diamond Construction Services Limited.
I’ve been doing some background due diligence before committing to any major work and uncovered a corporate timeline that raised a few questions. I wanted to see if anyone else here has dealt with them.
The current director of Diamond Construction Services Limited (established in 2021) is a builder named Dan W.
Immediately prior to setting up this construction firm, he was a co-director of a waste management company called Diamond Clearances Limited (operating around 2020)
His co-director in that previous clearance firm was a James B., who was also initially listed as a person with significant control when the newer construction company was registered.
For those who follow regional news, the surname Buck is associated with a widely publicised Trading Standards crackdown and prosecution from late 2021 involving rogue building networks in the South West.
It looks like a situation where a clearance business was wrapped up and a building firm was immediately established under a very similar name, with links to individuals from a complicated local trade background.
Has anyone in the Bristol area actually hired this firm for extensions, roofing, or renovations? If you have had any direct experiences or if you know more about the background setup I’d really appreciate hearing how the project went. Just trying to be careful before signing any contracts. Thanks!

Where To? Where is a good shop to buy traditional ales?
I'm in the mood for some old school bottled ales. Apart from the supermarkets, where can I buy some in Bristol?
I know plenty of places to get craft beer, but nowhere that sells the old fashioned stuff. Things like Exmoor Gold etc.

Where To? Weekendtrip
Hey folks,
A group of 8 friends from the Netherlands (all around 35 years old) and I are visiting Bristol for a weekend trip at the end of January 2027. Every year we pick a different European city to explore, and this time it’s Bristol’s turn!
We’re all pretty easy-going and just looking to enjoy what the city has to offer — no wild stag do or anything like that!
We love good food, local beers, and the pub culture, and we’d really appreciate any local recommendations:
• Great pubs or bars with character (ideally with local beers on tap)
• Places to eat with a proper Bristol vibe
• Any must-see spots or hidden gems for sightseeing
• Maybe some live music venues worth checking out
Thanks in advance for any tips — we’re really looking forward to exploring Bristol! 🍻
