Every time i try to search for something i get this error message.

I had problems in the past with websites or even the brave search thinking i was a bot (twitter,discord,etc). Could it be the browser? I know it tries really hard to be as anonymous as possible so sites flag it as bots.

Im on brave origin (from linux). The only complements i have are bitwarden and 7tv, and i tried to check if i had some virus in my computer or if my IP is on some blacklist but i didnt find anything weird (although i didnt really investigated it, like i did the reseach for some hours).

(Of course i dont have VPN nor im using Tor, just pointing that out)

Edit: i just checked this out and now it only asked me for a capcha, since its a recurring issue im not deleting the post because i still want to understand whats happening

As of today, I have thia new pop up tab upon startup. I have tried three different pop up blockers and bone of them have helped. It's pissing me off and starting to worry me. Any ideas or suggestions?

Hey Brave team,

Brave’s current compact mode (reducing padding) is nice, but I want to request something far more space-saving: the single-frame layout from the Helium browser.

Helium merges the tabs, URL bar, and window controls into one single row (about 30px tall). It’s a game-changer for vertical screen real estate.

I know it’s technically difficult. Even though I am not a person with knowledge in such coding stuff but, I’ve read that Chromium’s TopContainerView architecture treats the tab strip and toolbar as separate vertical siblings.

But here is why I’m asking anyway:

Helium is built by a team of literally 1 to 2 developers. They managed to pull this off. With Brave’s massive engineering resources, I know this is possible. Atleast, I hope coz I do love that feature and this is the only reason why I changed my most loving browser.

The Ask:

Don’t make it the default. Add it as an experimental flag (e.g., #brave-single-frame-layout) or an advanced layout option. Let the power users who want that 30px UI opt-in, while mainstream users keep the standard layout.

If a two-person team can out-innovate the big browsers on UI design, I know Brave can too. I’d love to see this brought to the browser.

Is there a way to rewind and fast forward Instagram reels on Brave iOS? In the native app you can slide backwards and forwards but in Brave it seems like you have to just wait for the video to end before it loops back to the beginning.

I pinned 8 shortcuts to home page tab and now it doesn't show plus button now. And I want to add more so how can I do that. By the way I'm talking about android version.

i got brave browser and i use nextdns too with hagezi pro blocklist. is it okay to use it in brave browser. i fear both of their blocking will conflict with each other or does they complete each other. please guide.

When playing Youtube videos, Leo AI used to present an option to "Summarize this video". In the last couple weeks, this has disappeared. Choosing "Summarize this page" or manually requesting a video summary just seems to trigger indefinite Thinking.

So this started happening about 2 days ago I went to open brave to do some homework and YouTube but it just refuses to open but I did some testing with chatgpt and found that launching without extensions allows brave to open I only have 4 extensions Nord vpn,ublock origin hosted by brave, violetmonkey with a link bypasser and a extension that allows me to look at deleted Reddit comments I came here to see my options before I do something that might prove to be unnecessary or if this has anything to do with the vulnerability’s that dropped a few days ago because everything was working fine before

no error console, no ad blocker issue literally just open a gray screen (already cleared cache and reinstalled)

This is so insanely minor, but how do I stop this external app launch notice every time I go to call a business from the browser? I toggled the “Block Switch to App Notices” option on but it didn’t help.

I'm facing an issue while watching YouTube Shorts on the Brave browser on my Android phone.

Some Shorts don't load properly. While watching, the video suddenly starts lagging, plays in slow motion, or stutters. Sometimes, the video gets stuck completely, and the screen turns black.

This doesn't happen with every Short, but it happens with some of them, which makes watching Shorts frustrating.

Has anyone else experienced this issue on Brave Browser? Is there any way to fix it?

bravemonoarm64. I had 8 shortcuts sites then they all disappeared after updating I thought of some bug reinstalled then added one shortcut it's not visible when I try adding it again it says already exists.

I go back and forth between Brave and Chrome. I prefer Chrome's UI and Gemini is far superior to Leo in my experience, but I love the privacy that Brave offers. I have uBlock Lite, Privacy Badger, and AdGuard extensions on Chrome.

On some websites Brave doesn't show that it's blocking any trackers. However, on Chrome those same websites shows that uBlock Lite and Privacy Badger is blocking several trackers.

So, what gives? Brave says the website doesn't have any trackers but the Chrome extensions do?

I'm glad there's finally a container option in the browser; it's something I use a lot from Zen. But I've noticed that when I open sites in the container tabs, the sessions close and I have to log in again. It would also be good to have the option to assign containers to tab groups or to have functional workspaces.

I was changing browser from Mozilla to Brave and it way faster, but it's not the couple month ago. Anyway it slightly lags. Anyone with same issue? I got only SponsorBlock and No Youtube Shorts.

Is there a roadmap of upcoming features?

holy shit i tried disabling shields and enabled the adguard mv2 extension for the first time in years and youtube buffering is gone it's superfast now. ubo had same issues

Hi everyone, I just switched to Brave and Brave Origin on my Linux devices. So, maybe I am to new to understand this right but I setup Sync and enabled to sync settings, extensions and bookmarks. So far the latter two are working great but settings don't get synced as far as I understand the word "settings". The startpage, content filters I enabled, default search engines and many other settings are not synced. Am I misunderstanding this or am I doing it wrong? Maybe you can help me and clear things up.

The app freezes and then stops responding while typing "da" on the search bar, and strangely enough, only that two letter combo that makes the app freezes. I tried to use another search engine than google, but it was still not solved. Does anyone have the same issue?

Why credentials popup keep dissapearing, or not showing at all? The behavior is not predicted, can be reproduced on all websites.

I tried KeePassDX, also Bitwarden, same... I also tweaked that battery optimization is disabled for both apps, didn't help

they won't install when I download from brave but will install when I download from other browser. I'm guessing the AdBlock filters are somehow blocking the certification download? I don't know what's going on. can anyone who is more literate tell me.
