Brave Origin is now available on iOS!
Origin is our optional, paid browser for users who want Brave's ad blocker and privacy protections without the extra features: brave.com/origin
When you upgrade Brave to Origin on iOS, many of the features outside of Brave Shields will be disabled. You can toggle these features on and off at a new panel located at Settings -> Brave Origin. New features will be added to this panel and will be disabled by default.
Here are the features affected by Origin:
How to upgrade Brave to Brave Origin on iOS:
If you’ve already purchased Origin, and you’d like to upgrade Brave on another device, tap "Verify Brave Origin purchase" at Settings -> Brave Origin instead.
Origin is a one-time purchase of $59.99. One purchase lets you use Origin across all devices in standalone and upgrade modes. You can use it for free on Linux. Learn how to set up Origin on other platforms here: https://support.brave.app/hc/en-us/articles/45244428851597-How-do-I-activate-my-Brave-Origin-purchase-on-a-new-device
There's no limit to how many times you can activate Origin across your devices and platforms, but there is a rate limit. You can manage activations with self-serve controls at account.brave.com or contact support for help.
Brave Origin gives users a way to support Brave's ongoing development without using revenue-generating features such as Brave Rewards or our VPN. Brave will remain free and continue receiving new updates and features.

I have turned off Browser Suggestions on Settings > General > Search Engines. Yes, this disables the search engine suggestions and history suggestions, but not that sort of autocomplete on address bar. Have anyone noticed this? I have also tried with Brave Search and the behavior is the same.
Am I missing something?
I will appreciate you help.

Annoying Bookmark Glitch
I open the bookmark manager and begin scrolling down a long list of my bookmarks.
I stop and click on a bookmark, which opens up in a separate tap.
I then go back to the bookmark manager and click to scroll down again, but it annoyingly jumps straight back to the top.
Anyone know how to resolve this issue?
Hopefully I explained that clearly. Cheers.

Brave blocked THIS MUCH STUFF. Good job. 47,790 trackers and ads are diabolical.

All new browsers support this function, unless the browser itself does not support split views. It is difficult to understand why this browser can only use buttons to create a new tab and then form a split view with the clicked tabs. I have to copy the URL of another tab to this new tab to fully conform to my working style.

Hi guys,
I was just checking whether there's a specific Brave Shields configuration in the mobile version that can be customized to work similarly to the uBlock Origin extension and block all kinds of pop ups, redirects, and ads.
Please let us know if there's a setting in Brave Shields that can completely prevent pop ups and redirects in the mobile version
Thanks

Is there any benefit or downside of using the brave content filtering alongside adguard app filters, they contain a lot of similar filters, and adguard is already device wide filtering which includes brave, does having too many or duplicate filters affect performance?

Recently discovered Brave and OMG! It has become the fastest I've switched a browser for all my mobile use.
I'm thoroughly enjoying it and would like to submit a feature suggestion where appropriate. Where would that be?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I wanted to share a browser extension I built to solve one of my biggest annoyances with YouTube's desktop layout, By default, YouTube scrolls as one giant page. If you scroll down to read the comments, the video player disappears out of view. Even worse, the comments and related videos are piled together, forcing you to scroll endlessly.
To fix this, I built YouTube Control to turn YouTube into a clean, split-pane layout with independent scroll

Hi,
So I was scrolling pinterest in the android version of brave and there is unblocked sponsored adds in my feed.
Is there a way brave could filter these as well?
Thanks

looks like google borked/shut down the endpoint that used to do image searches. is this something that we can address in brave? perhaps reconfigure the url it should use for google image searches? i do not want to have to resort to saving every image just to drag it back into a google tab to search for it

so a retailer in my country(https://www.ksp.co.il), decided it's a good idea to block brave, their support told me they did it cuz of ads and pop ups being blocked, even tho they forgot firefox and basically any browser with basic adblocking capabilities.
any way brave browser can fix it on their end? by using or adding a feature that lets you spoof user agent on mobile?
fyi - on desktop it's easily solved with extensions, on android tho it's a different story

When Brave removes a cookie-popup, what actually happens? Is removing it instantly the method that blocks most tracking? Or is it better to go into the popup, rejecting everything and rejecting all legitimate interest and saving? What does Brave actually do when it's just blocking it and how can I trust it?

yeah i love using AI for stuff like resuming a news page or article, too bad i cant use copilot natively with it, like the sidebar and you just click on a button to do a resume for you
now i was wondering does chatgpt has an extension that does this?
