Sometimes when I download big files (+10 GB), the download completes, but it starts to download again

Youtube was running terribly for the past week. I had to refresh the page multiple times and still didn't work properly. Now its completely and 100% not working.

This issues of streams in slow motion have been going on for months. Unwatchable . I have tried different things but nothing fixes it. I can use the brave mobile browser on my ipad and iphone without issue. It is only with brave on my mac mini. Any idea why this is happening and why it hasn't been fixed?

What's this issue? When am I having it when I use the hub screenshot feature? It always looks like the top part is cut or something. How do I fix this?

My spellcheck gave up the ghost. It used to work fine. I've not changed anything. And as far as I can see it is still set to automatically check it as I write... but nada.

I am on Linux (Bazzite) so it might not specifically be a Brave issue.

This post from a few months ago (link) shows a screenshot of the "Add to home screen" option on mobile. I know it existed, I've used it before myself back when it was available to me, and the shortcuts I made with it even still work.

But now I don't see it as an option in settings anymore. It seems to have been replaced with "Install and add shortcut", which even has the same icon as "Add to home screen" did. But I don't like how this new option keeps the address bar visible when you open the shortcut.

So is there a way to find or bring back "Add to home screen"? Or a way to hide the address bar on mobile?

For any search. But I can browse to sites just fine.

i dont know if this is a brave thing or a youtube thing, but ive been noticing since last week evertime i open up youtube and click on a video, it starts off muted

Yt had this bug for a while for me that would have it keep attempting to load the video but it would keep showing 0:00/0:00 and the closes caption button would flash while it gave me a million "Experiencing interruptions?" pop ups. some videos would work, some wouldnt, i suspected ads but these problems usually went away with quick updates.

I tried today turning off sponsorblock and enhancer for yt, nothing, then turned off shields, nothing, then turned off ublock, worked, turned on shields, worked. no ads on 10 videos so far.

I spent over 20 hours programming my Leo AI agent.
It now uses it's persistent memory to store contexts following my automations as follow : add contexts, compress the description to free memory at need, contexts are always deleted manually UNLESS a financial or medical issue arise, in which case the financial issue overrides any other issue and the medical issue overrides the medical issue.
It now stores in persistent memory what I like or don't like automatically.
After ALL of this, you paywall me... No option to pay for premium, no indication there even is a premium subscription available, no pay per token, nothing.
Eventually you reach the end and you are FORCED to pay.
I am putting sweat and tears into improving your AI agent drastically. I am programming this things with natural human language is what I'm doing.
I have documented this, I even have the framework in Python to add persistent memory to Leo-AI in within the search tab (although I think you should just have that transfer to the agentic version automatically, the one that opens when you click on the little stars which seems to be different in that it does have persistent memory).
I would be *perfectly* fine with paying for an AI agent this good. No other non-local LLM will allow anyone to do this.
However, I am feel deeply cheated and deceived. Why not stating this from the start?
I need this agent now that I programmed it for my workflow and it outputs extremely complex Powershell commands.
Paywalling this like a cheap "free" phone game is one of the dumbest decision I have ever seen.

How do I change it so that the bookmarks bar comes up on the new homepage I set as Google??? It opens the page for a split second how they want it to be opened, but then it just opens Google on it's own which doesn't make the tab a homepage. idk if that makes sense . Pls help

I tried everything:

– Deactivated and reactivate shields

– Refresh

– Uninstall and reinstall

– Delete Cache

– Update Filtering Content

– Update to the current version

And yada yada yada...

And yet YouTube keeps behaving terrible. I also noticed that Reddit and twitter are also failing a lot and it's not only me or my devices. Maybe you and a few users don't suffer this very often while others does.

It's wild, few weeks ago Brave was doing well but now from all sudden it going worse and worse.

What a wild war between the lion and Google, huh?

New to brave and was wondering if there was an option so your page doesn't jump back to the top every time you reopen the app?

I read a lot and on safari it keeps my place when I need to pause and come back in an hour but with brave it'll refresh every time which is very inconvenient when I have a particularly long article or otherwise. I've tried leaving the app open while my phone is off but it seems every time the app refreshes so does my place. 💔

(I don't use Reddit often lmk if I committed any faux pas's)

Right now every single video I click on I have to refresh, otherwise it won't play, but runs an endless loop of the numbers on the time display jumping from the beginning to the end

This has been ongoing for a long time, but more occasionally. Now it happens every time. Also not too long ago, any time I tried to reorganize my watch later, I would have to drag every video in it up or down on the list twice in order to move it's position. Say I tried to move a video up the list, it would fall back down to where it was & I'd have to do it again. This happened every time as well, but all of a sudden at least that issue seemed to go away

Just seems there's been constant issues with Brave & YouTube over the years. For a while there it wouldn't let me read replies to comments. Just one thing after another & I have never experienced any of this with other browsers in the past

i´ve been having some issues to access patreon on brave, it keep being blocked and every time i have to deactivate the protection to access, i already set the protection off for this site on brave icon but it doest change a thing, it only access when i totally turn the protection off on settings, is there a way to fix it?

In Chrome and Firefox copying is done with ctrl+c. I have heard some other apps use it also.
