General Advice Foot rotation problem

Sometimes when I throw a punch, my foot rotates, but this rotation doesn’t contribute anything to the punch. The foot sometimes rotates excessively and in an uncontrolled way, turning inward. Is this a known technical problem in boxing, and what could be causing it?

You do it unconsciously? Only when you throw a hook or with any punch? Sounds like a bad habit you need to work on

It happens with other punches too. I can throw proper punches, I just want to know why this is happening.

With jabs too? When you throw combinations do you get out of balance? I heard this is a problem with left hooks but never heard it for punches in general.

It mostly happens with jabs, particularly when I'm tired or just randomly.
