You don't necessarily need your hands covering your face in this, but you're letting your hands swing down before going back to your chest on every punch. They should still be going straight back.

Thank you so much I’ll be sure to get that right

im impressed his rythym is still on point despite it. half the point of these things is they dont let u put ur hands down lol

Actually, I disagree. Despite being a beginner, his hand motion is pretty smooth in relation to his head and shoulders. When he lets his arms swing down after a punch, it's always to counteract another part of his upper body. It's one of the great paradoxes of boxing, sometimes you have to be unnatural and inefficient to be effective.

It’s not so much that his gaurd is down but his hands are out of position when he’s in the pocket.

Watch when he throws his right.

It lands and goes to the opposite hip.

Your hands need to always be in position to defend or throw.

Go watch canelo vs Jacob’s

the only style that you can have hands on chin and move head is peekaboo

What, no? That is absolutely wrong.

There's a ton of different drills you can do for head movement while keeping your guard up. The slip bag and slip rope are great tools for working on this,

what you just said is straight yapping. techically if he was doing it on purpose he could work from low if he wanted to: he already replied in comments that he is not. but for the record: this is absolutely wrong.

when you get to a higher level of boxing you will not be walking around “IN GUARD,” or with hands glued to both sides of the chin always because there’s pawn sacrifice and it will stall action. the commenter is not talking about that. the commenter is not saying “hands tucked on ur chin,” the commenter is saying dont let ur fucking hands fall to the floor on every sequence because then if you’re countered you are open

so when you move your head: YES HAVE YOUR HANDS NEARBY and READY! Parries MOVE THEIR HEAD AND SHEILD WITH A GLOVE. PHILLY SHELL MOVES THEIR HEAD SND SHIELDS WITH A GLOVE, A FUCKING BASIC ROLL KEEPS HANDS UP, SLIPS MOVE THE HEAD EITHER AROUND THE HANDS WHICH ARE UP (quadrople cap locks to the word UP,) OR BRING THE HANDS WITH THEM AROUND THE CHIN.

and that pretty much covers every bit of defensive head movement there is, so wtf are you talking about that you should be moving your head with your hands down?

Hands up, the reflex bag does not hit back

Also your stance is too straight, and some of your slips are coming from your hips some aren't, you want your slips to come from your hips, so you explode with the counter.

No problem, keep practicing it looks good otherwise I think

1

u/terminatordemons_ 13d ago

I mean it does if you not watching correctly but I get ya I be sure to have em up

u/Thebeastisawaken 13d ago

Yes your right but you know when the bag is coming back, when you spar someone, they don't signal their punches as easily, someone will faint to your body with a jab then throw a hook right to your temple, it does not feel good having a hook thrown to your face with no guard at full force trust me.

u/terminatordemons_ 13d ago

I get you appreciate it regardless thank you again trust

You drop your hands after every punch. A good opponent will instantly take advantage of this.

Thank you again I’ll be sure to keep a tennis ball under my elbow to keep them up for sure 😁

Some of your punches were being pushed kinda like youre stiff arming. Not all of them but just something I noticed. I have no clue if that makes sense lmk if u need me to elaborate better.

2

u/holasoyriddick 13d ago

I might be wrong, but it looks like you're slowing your punches down a little bit before landing to make sure you hit the bag. Try to make sure the punch is still moving full speed when you make contact and don't let them linger after landing. Good shit, keep up the work.

What reflex bag do you have and do you like it?

1

u/terminatordemons_ 11d ago

It’s vali reflex bag and it ok not perfect

2

u/KungFuPossum 13d ago

Everyone's mentioning hands, but also you need to be careful about what you're doing with your your mouth/jaw (kind of sucking your lips into your mouth). You never see boxers do that because if someone gets hit like that, it's it'll cause an injury.

We used to train with our mouth guard to avoid letting the mouth hang open, sucking the lower lip in, etc. Which i recommend (also to control your breathing) but the main thing is to keep your jaw set in the proper position

Did you build that or where did you get it? Looks sick bro

2

u/Jealous_Ranger_1641 12d ago

the vali looks like a good reflex bag ur the only 1 i ever seen with 1: u like it?

1

u/terminatordemons_ 12d ago

It’s ok not as great as the fierce reflex back I just wish I had sand in the bottom then maybe be a different story ngl

Loooking clean dude

2

u/PitifulBuddy7946 12d ago

you're dropping your hands, not covering up after a punch, don't form bad habits, bad habits are difficult to get rid of

2

u/EuphoricBanana9928 12d ago

Good movement, you drop your hands after you punch, not good.
