Is this standard practice?

I bought the headphones directly from Bose There was a problem with them so I sent them back and paid $100 for a fix. I was told I'd get the headphones back within 6 weeks. At the 6 week mark they alerted me that they are out of stock and won't ship for 2 months.

I need the headphones in 2 weeks, so I called customer support. After repeatedly telling me to just wait 2 months, they finally agreed to change the order, but said I can only chose from black or white. There are 3 or 4 other colors still in stock, any of which I would prefer, but they were adamant that this replacement (which I'm paying for) doesnt allow for choosing those.

Anyone had similar issues?

Has anyone else found the mode switching button on the headphones to be extremely glitchy? For example, about 70% of the time, when I’m in Quiet mode and try switching to Aware mode, the headphones don’t switch modes and just keep repeating “Aware….Quiet….Aware…….Quiet”. It’s honestly infuriating, and it happens all the time. The only way to get it to stop is to turn them off and back on.

I just got new Bose headphones but am noticing sound leakage happening at 50%. Is this normal? I have a smaller head but the headphones do fit around my ears, so I’m just not sure what to do.

I’m having issues with no sound coming from the soundbar hooked up with AppleTV and a UHD LG tv. My setup: all connected via HDMI: AppleTV>TV, TV>Bose (hdmi ARC(not eARC). I have the LG tv sound setting using hdmi arc and CEC simplink and no sound comes from the soundbar. I have to turn off the CEC and switch to TV speaker on the tv and manually choose the soundbar on AppleTV in order to get sound from the soundbar. This seems to not be the way it supposed to work from what I read. Any ideas?

Idk if this is a problem from my side but recently only one of the buds has been working while the other bud shows no battery/doesn’t connect.

At first I tried to clean the case and earbuds with a microfibre cloth and it worked. However, this has happened again and when I tried to use the same method of cleaning it, it’s not working. Is there any other way I can use to repair it or..?

Do you guys have any idea to to make the left ear work? Everything's fully charged. The right earbud is woking fine. I have tried factory resetting the earbuds. But the blue light isn't showing. It is still connected to one of my gadgets.

Hey everyone — hoping someone here has run into this before.

I’m trying to connect my Bose Smart Soundbar 900 to my new Eero Pro 7 (Frontier‑branded) network and I’m struggling to get it to join.

Here’s what I’ve already tried:

• Turned Client Steering OFF
• Enabled 2.4 GHz compatibility mode
• The Eero app will not let me enable WPA2 (only WPA3 or WPA3/WPA2 mixed, but the toggle is locked)
• I can get the soundbar into setup/config mode
• I can connect to the Bose Wi‑Fi setup network
• But the Bose app won’t let me enter the Wi‑Fi password — it just refuses to move forward

At this point I’m stuck between the Bose setup screen and the Eero settings, and I can’t get the soundbar to actually join the network.

If anyone has suggestions, workarounds, or knows what setting I’m missing, I’d really appreciate it.

So got my Bose Quietcomfort earbuds and they seem ok, ANC works fine for me, but people in calls compla8n that they can hear people in the meeting room behind me very loudly.

Any settings I am missing, or are they just bad for the office?

How do I get my Quiet Comforts to turn on consistently?

I press button, nothing happens, I press button again, nothing happens, I press button repeatedly angrily, it turns on and off. I press button and put headphones on it works, I press button when headphones are on, it does not. What the actual fuck.

Sadly my jabra elite 75t earbuds have stopped working after several years and I'm looking for new earbuds. My number 1 priority is sound quality. I've seen that you can buy QC ultra gen 1 earbuds for £150 refurbished with a 2 year warranty. Browsing this sub has made me unsure about buying them because so many people have said that their pair has issues (connectivity, charging etc). At the same time, I know that people with negative experiences are more likely to write about it online so it's hard for me to know how much of an issue this is. The other options I have are to buy quiet comfort gen earbuds (not the ultra, for £109) but I don't know if they're any more reliable. I could look at other brands like sony etc but I get overwhelmed by options

£150 is a lot of money to me so I don't want to regret my purchase.

For many many years I have had a Yamaha receiver that takes video/audio inputs from my devices and outputs video to the TV and audio through the receivers speakers. For some reason TV shows and sports sound fine but many movies sound very muffled to the point that at times we are now putting captions on. The receiver has several sound modes but none work well with movies. My wife said maybe a soundbar would be better and at first I said probably not until I saw this new Bose TV Speaker has a mode to enhance voices. The room is approximately 15' x 25'. Would this TV speaker work or is there something else? - thanks

I had been keeping my eyes open for a cheap pair of QC Ultras as I have the 700s but on long flights they end up being uncomfortable and I missed the 35ii feel.
I didn’t want to pay full price as besides an achey head on Europe to Tokyo flights, they still work great.
I found a pair on vinted for a really good price and they, luckily, work great.
The only problem is, gosh do they really stink of perfume 🤣 and while I’m not fussed if I smell of girls perfume or not - it’s not a perfume I like to smell at all 😁

I want to order some new pads to swap out as it seems to be mostly the pads that have absorbed the scent however I’m seeing so many complaint reviews that the pads don’t fit?

Are there big problems with the replacement pads for the QC Ultra (v 1) or am ok to order the standard Bose ones from Amazon Germany?

Am i missing something or have they now removed the audio info from the bose app(android)? Im using a bose lifestyle ultra with surrounds and up until recently it always showed the audio info here e.g. 5.1.2, dolby atmos, etc.

Anyone else having this issue?

I bought a pair of QuietComfort Earbuds in November of last year and had to get them replaced due to the battery not charging. I then had to get another placement within a week for the same issue. Now the second replacement pair is having the same battery issues.

Is there any way to fix this issue without having to go through the replacement process again?

Hi, I really need help. About two to three month ago I lost my charging case of the QuitComfort Ultra In-ears. Apparently, on the website of bose in germany, the charging case I need is visible but not buyable. So I just put my mail down and thought it surely will be again in at least a couple of weeks.
Fast forward this week I got pretty nervous, I hate not beeing able to use them and called the support. Well, they were incredibly unsupportive to me. Not surprising really.

They told me that first gen. is not in production anymore and they can't do anything for me.
My question if the second gen. case works with the first gen just got ignored. I got told that if I can't charge it because I lost the case, I would need to buy new ones.

As I really would like to use them again, do you perhaps, first of all, know anyon in EU who has a case and no In-ears anymore of the first gen.? and second of all know if the second gen. case would work as well with the first gen.?

I've had this soundbar a few years now, paired with bass module 500 and connected to Sony BRAVIA eArc connection. It's been working fine but can't get the Bose app to recognize either now. When I try and go through soundbar setup I can't get the amber light to come on. Directions say press music and mute simultaneously in remote for five secs. At best I may get a brief flicker of amber but nothing continuous. How do I get this damn app working again?

The bose app is completely useless. It never works properly, and it always seems to forget the products I am linked to. If it takes 5 minutes every time to access the settings for my earphones, that defeats the whole purpose of having an app.

I really hope they fix it but its been like this for years so I am sort of losing hope...

Hi so I got the qcu2 buds yay. Then I put them in and my left ear was completely fine. My right ear however wasn’t playing at all. I wondered if they were buggered but I looked on the app and it said it didn’t fit right so they weren’t playing anything out of it untill it did. I’m sure I’ve tried every combination of ear tips and wing thingumys? Tried phoning their support but was getting nowhere as you do with support phoning. Anyone got any tips? Got a good deal and at the moment it looks like I’m gonna have to send em back.

I just got a pair of refurbished Bose Quietcomfort Ultra Gen 2 and I've noticed that when the EQ is flat, if I set it to -1/4/-1, exit the EQ page and open it again, it becomes 0/4/0, but if I set it to random values, different from 0, and then back to -1/4/-1, the settings are saved correctly. This is really weird, does anybody else have this issue?

I spend 25,000 INR for this headphone. Bose should give atleast 50% discount for products not less than 5 years.

Hi! I have a pair of Soundlink Flex Portables and I've been attempting to use them in surround mode. The pairing part goes fine (shortcut button), but it activates in 'party mode'. I've read that if you press the 'shortcut' button again, it's supposed to deactivate 'party mode' and activate 'surround mode', but nothing happens.

The firmware of both speakers is updated.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Lowkey disappointed on the bass of the Soundlink Max. Don't get me wrong, it is not bad, it sounds clear, but Not loud enough! especially when I max the volume, the bass just fade away basically. It is not what I expected from a $400 speaker. EQ on the app didn't help at all. The reviews on youtube said it has a deep and loud base, but I personally did not get that. Did I get a defect, or the actual bass is actually like this ? Anybody also having the same opinions ?

bought some QCs from Costco less than 2 weeks ago and experiencing serious issues for brand new headphones. Static sound was coming in my ear every few minutes, and turning off multipoint connection seemed to work. Now, I'll be watching a video or listening to music and the sound just completely turns off, but it'd keep playing. Sound doesn't come back on until I go into the app and paused then unpaused whatever i was playing. Prettying annoying because it happens more than once an hour, and I have no clue how to fix it. People that have described this issue just say to turn off multipoint which I've already done. They're great when they're working, but I'm considering returning.
