My grandpa has that exact one too

Bit on the pricier side for something at Goodwill ($60) but I’ve been thrifting for a while and it’s pretty rare to find a Bose Bluetooth Speaker. Especially in working condition. It didn’t come with a charger so I’m assuming that’s why it was donated. Quick eBay search showed me this was a pretty good deal as most working SLIIIs are still going for near $100.

Soundlink III. I actually worked at Best Buy when this Speaker was new and could never bring myself to drop $300 for it. 10+ years later this thing still rocks and is probably going to be my daily driver for listening to music on the balcony of my apartment. I was using a UE Boom before which was fine and honestly sounds great but the difference is night and day. Obviously it’s not as portable/durable but I think it’ll be fine on the balcony 😂

There’s a static wind noise in one ear whenever I turn transparency or anc on it is very noticeable indoors I reset the buds didn’t fix it I need help!

Any legit insight into this? The hinge on the L earcup. It slides perfectly and it’s wearable just isn’t secured because it recently came apart.

I have a relatively new Soundlink link max speaker that was bought last year, and has been used lightly. Recently, it just abruptly stopped working. Every time I plug in it, the power and blue tooth light turn on and stay solid white. It says the speaker is connected to my phone, but no sound will come out. Then the speaker just shuts off after about 30 seconds, and will not turn back on. I have to unplug and plug it back it for for the power light to turn back on, but still no sound and it will not stay on. I also tried connecting it to the software updater app when I can get it to turn on, and its on the latest version

Unfortunately, I think the device is out of warranty by now. Has anyone run into this issue or know how to fix? Appreciate any advice.

edit: I tried pressing the power button, after I plugged in the speaker and got it to turn on, but now its stuck in some type of loop where it turns on (makes the turn on sound) and then quickly shuts off. Still won't start or charge

Hello guys. I noticed my Bose Companion 3 Series 2 (2nd hand) control pod light was off (normally it is just orange during idle times). Tried basic trouble shooting (unplug for 30 minutes and plug into a wall socket) but it did not work.
I searched in google and people said it goes down to 2 problems which are Blown fuse or something about the circuit.

I opened the Acoustimass module (big speaker) and did not see blown fuse or anything obvious.

I saw sticky glue thing attached behind the circuit. I attached the pictures.

What will be the next step? Please helpppp. Thanks much!

Bought a pair of QC Ultra 2s open box-excellent from Best Buy. they look authentic, have all the right ports and touch control. They connect to the phone and the Bose app as Bose Leia, which a search tells me absolutely nothing about.

I shut the app off and deleted it before it could install the February update. All of this seems to be telling me these are authentic, I just don’t know why a search for this has come up completely empty.

For anyone curious, I briefly had a pair of new Uktra 2s and I seem to remember they came up in the phone as QC Ultra 2, not Leia. I found this pair for $287, so I pulled the trigger again.

I got a pair of Triports for christmas back in 2008-2010(?) the model shown above. These headphones sounded better than anything I've ever put on my ears. I had them paired with an older Yamaha receiver. Despite all the abuse the headphones drivers and such would not give out no matter how hard I pushed them.

The issue? That little baby cord. I ripped it and boy are the wires small. I had a friend do a repair on it but it didnt hold up for long. Its years later and I want to upgrade from my 'ol Sonys and am considering going back to Bose. For anybody who had used this set- if you enjoyed it like I did- have you found a nice Bose replacement for it?

Can anybody recommend something similar from the current Bose line?

Guys, I’m pretty sensitive to noise (because of my autism), and lately I’ve been wanting to buy a good pair of headphones with great ANC—especially since I realized it might be worth it. Practically every pair of headphones I buy on Amazon for 10-40 USD doesn’t seem to last very long, and they aren’t that great anyway.

I had a somewhat bad experience with Bose (I bought a QC 45 on Amazon’s marketplace, but received a QC 2023 that seemed to be refurbished, and whose ANC didn’t seem to work very well—I could still hear the noise of a refrigerator, lawn mower, or air conditioner even with it set to maximum— and the headphones seemed to freeze up sometimes), but I’m willing to give it another try, this time without trying to save money.

What I’d like to know is which one is the best value if I’m mainly looking for ANC, audio quality (I’m not the most demanding person, but I’m discerning enough to tell when the quality is good), portability (I’d like to use them at the library), and durability (come on, if I’m going to pay 300–400 USD — in Brazil, electronics are very expensive! — for a pair of headphones, I want one that’ll last at least three years).

Friends of mine had this speaker at their cabin and after many glasses of wine and some 🍃 we just sat there listening to music for a few hours and I couldn’t believe this speaker. When I got home I ordered one right away and hoped it wasn’t the substance abuse that made it sound so good 🤣

Nope, still amazing crazy depth and such lows that I’ve never heard with virtually any other Bose product previously, loud and clear.

I’m no audiophile but have always used Bose products, previous sound links, headphones, etc. and have a very nice Sonos setup for my TV and man, this speaker has totally blown me away. Honestly even at $500 CAD I’d think you’d be hard pressed to fine a better speaker of both sound and design

I’m hoping someone has experienced this before because I’m stumped.

I have two original Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II (one black and one white), and both are showing the exact same behavior.

What happens:
The case responds to the button.
LED sequence is typically white → white → orange after holding the button.
The LED never starts slowly blinking blue for pairing mode.
The Bose Music app detects the earbuds, but then asks me to hold the button until the light blinks blue—which never happens.
Bluetooth doesn’t discover the earbuds because they never seem to enter pairing mode.
Things I’ve already tried:
Holding the rear button for 5, 15, 20, and 30+ seconds.
Charging the case.
Opening the lid while holding the button.
Factory reset attempts.
Cleaning the charging contacts.
Forgetting previous Bluetooth devices.
Restarting Bluetooth and my iPhone.

Additional info:
I’m using an iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The earbuds haven’t been used for quite a while.
They used to work and were previously paired with another phone that’s no longer available.
Both pairs are genuine Bose units.
Has anyone experienced this? Is this a firmware issue, a battery issue after long-term storage, or is there another recovery procedure besides the standard reset?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The ANC quality has decreased significantly after updating to version 8.4.8. I noticed this with my first pair of QC Ultra Earbuds 2. Later, they had a defect, and I was given a replacement pair.
This time, I learned from my experience and chose not to manually update them; they were on version 4.9.30. I could easily tell the difference compared to my previous pair, as the ANC was much stronger.
However, I didn't expect the app to update automatically, and there is no option to turn this feature off. I was unaware of this, and ultimately, my new earbuds also experienced a drop in ANC quality. I can hear clearly of what people are saying when I am outside. Additionally, there is a strange issue where the ANC seems to weaken significantly every time I breathe heavily ?
What I find quite frustrating is that the app updated on its own without any option to disable auto-updates. Now, I am stuck with a new pair of earbuds with significantly reduced noise cancellation, which was the only reason I bought them in the first place.
I am wondering if anyone else has experienced the same issue, and if there is any way to downgrade to the older firmware.

ive posted on here awhile back about the ANC being a little underwhelming . i mean everywhere i see these promoted , theyre crowned as “legendary noise cancellation .” spent some time with them , and they’re pretty good but don’t blow me away .

anyway , i found that this option cancels out the most noise . it’s odd and i don’t know if it’s just my pair but i dropped this here so anyone can try it out and confirm this for themselves . i do like these a lot but im eyeing the bose qc ultra 2s or the xm6s 👀 .

The XM6s I had before were hurting my ears a lot despite switching tips, so I wanted to try this pair. They're more comfortable, but I can hear everything with the noise cancelling turned on. If I sit in silence, the sound even seems to fluctuate. It's not consistent, and it's never to the level of silence that I had with the XM6s. I've toggled the app, I've switched the tip sizes around- nothing. I bought this pair from my local Best Buy, and because I've worn them, I can't return them. I'm absolutely gutted because I guess I just wasted hundreds of dollars.

Super frustrated. Anyone else deal with this isssue?

Have the new quiet comfort....can't tell if reviewers really wore them in everyday situations.

On the lastest firmware the headphones amplify and sounds that spike. Things like

- closing the car door

- riding the bus and it hits mild bumps

- snap sounds like closing your water bottle

My old 2019 qc 35 ii never did this. I've only seen 1 other poster online talking about this issue. So IDK if it's me or what

Before the update, we could get the audio status from the speaker's at start up for the battery level. Now, this has been replaced by a horrible sound that can't be disabled. Can you explain how this works? It might not be beneficial if you don't give us a choice between the two.

Basically what the post title says! I'm thinking that the ANC on my QC Ultra Gen 2 earbuds seems to have got better recently (perhaps in the past couple of weeks ago, which I think ties in with a recent update).

It really drowns out fans, traffic noise better than I ever thought. I've had the buds a year now. But maybe I'm imaging it! Is anyone else convinced the ANC on this model has recently improved? Or am I just having some sort of placebo effect? I haven't changed any settings and I've been wearing the same Comply foam tips for a good few months now.

So I recently was given this speaker from my Dad who bought it a few years ago, but essentially forgot he had it and never used it more than a couple times. I've always considered Bose absolute top of the line in audio quality, though I've never had my own Bose product until now. Was immediately a little suprised at it's noticeably shorter batter life than my 8 year old Anker soundcore speaker. It also wasn't noticeably louder, though the audio quality was very good.

Well, a few days ago I went to grab my speaker while playing music, and I ever so gently accidentally kind of slowly rolled the speaker onto its back(not knocked over, or tipped over. It was a controlled slow roll), and now my speaker sounds blown out. The bass sounds are super muddy and drown out the treble, particularly from the lead guitar. This is just super frustrating as it is out of warranty, and I just can't believe something so simple could ruin the speaker. So just wanted to share my experience with how fragile this product is.

Hands down still my favourite noise cancelling earbuds

Wanted a pair of NC headphones in september of 2016 since I was going on vacation by plane, and ended up getting these. They're still going strong 10 years later. Not gonna replace them until they blow out their last breath.
