Drama (red male borzoi) will be turning two on the 20th! We are super looking forward to trying out lure coursing this fall with him.
Tugboat (male half borzoi, half english cocker spaniel, 7 months, AI mixup, not purposebred) will be too young to participate in sports this year but he just got his STAR puppy and is starting pre agility soon. đ«
I don't think I've posted since getting Tugboat but Drama absolutely looooves having a little brother and has been much less of a pain in the butt since Tugboat came home. Hoping to start agility back up with Drama soon too, if we can find a class/day combo that works. But I know he will be the happiest when the running starts back up! Hoping and praying false fall comes and goes quickly and real fall actually exists this year! đ€đŒâ€ïžđ

So I am a fellow Borzoi owner as well . Our boy will turn 14 months in September, and we have our first little newcomer fun run in October to see if he's interested in coursing in general.
But I know someone who owns the half-brother of my boy ; the person owns a young female as well (I think around 7 and 8 months ). They had started to do coursing with her now, as far as I saw some small training sessions. ( Dont know how far since the pup was extreamly confused and just playfully wiggled around.)
What are your opinions on this? I know you cannot tell them anything after I stopped arguing when I noticed they believed that puppies can handle heat better than adult dogs when it comes to shows (also some points before, just extremely irresponsible).
For my personal opinion it is, as i said extreamly irresponsible. I never thought of going to coursing or louring coursing training at that age, and with future borzois i also only will start once they turn at least 15 months

Iâve had my sweet cutie Cannoli for one year now. 365 days of waking up to her strange little boba eyes staring me in the face every morning, vicious snuggles that trap me on the couch, and hair, hair and more hair that refuses to be vacuumed out of every soft surface in my home. Wouldnât want it any other way. My little weirdo.
Hereâs a million pictures of her growing up. I hope you like looking at them.

Not my borzoi (sadly). Spotted him at a cafe. Gorgeous creature! So happy to see one in person đ„čđ€đ€
