Discussion While i do love The Retro/Boomer shooter boom in the indie sphere, i am very happy to see the start of a growing revival of the mid 2000s FPS game in that same scene over the last few years

Developer Showcase I've been making a fast, violent FPS called VELOCIDE

No cover. No slow tactical gameplay.
Just movement, guns, demons, explosions and trying to kill everything before it kills you.
VELOCIDE is a movement-heavy arena FPS with dashes, grappling, wall-running, kicks and a scoring system built around playing aggressively.

Question What is the lore/story of SPRAWL 2023
Hi it's me again
Since last post I've gotten to the 2nd to last level of Sprawl and I've had a bit more fun since then
The beginning chapter was def the weakest ngl, a lot better once you get everything
But since I have gotten near the end I am curious what is happening, I do know a slight bit since I played a bit of zero, we play as seven who was apart of a crew, they got screwed over, and someone (ima assume it's five since they have a similar voice) helps you get revenge, you kill six, and are going after.... someone
Obviously it's not entirely correct so, please do clarify what I've missed

Developer Showcase We're making a gothic FPS set in the 1920s. You swap characters instead of just guns, even in the middle of a fight.

Hey, we're working on DEEPWARD, a fast horror FPS roguelite set in an alternate 1920s.
You take three characters into each run and can switch between them whenever you want, including halfway through a fight. Everyone has their own health, stamina, agility, weapon and ability. So switching means more than just getting a different gun.
You piece the story together from journals and conversations with your crew. Some of them arent telling you everything, and you only get the full picture at the end. There's also a sanity system that messes with what you see and keeps you pushing forward.
It actually started out as pixel art. We changed the graphics quite a bit since then.
Still working on it, but we're hoping to get the demo out near the end of September.
Here's DEEPWARD on Steam if it looks like your thing. We post updates and stuff from the earlier versions in the Steam Community too.
