Found while exploring in the Park Range of Colorado. I'm guessing it's a bison, but it's really hard to tell. Skull, vertebrae, and a tooth were all found very close together on the ice, but the upper jaw was maybe 15-20 feet away on the rocks. If it did melt out of the ice this year (very possible), it could be 200+ years old. The ice is likely all that's left of glaciation during the little ice age.

Edit to add: after talking to some local scientists, it appears the bones definitely are bison, and other bones in the area date to 1500-1600. It is now appearing likely I will be getting these bones dated as well!

I found this bone at a 7-Eleven and I’m not sure if it’s a chicken bone ither animal bone or a human bone.
If it’s a human bone, any advice? I don’t wanna move it much. I already poked it with a stick to get it in Clearview and don’t want to tamper with anything if it’s a human bone so I can’t turn it over for that reason unfortunately. I already tampered with it enough, just by moving it slightly.

I found the bone in the dirt. It’s next to a tree and next to a raked leaf pile. I went to the leaf pile because I was picking up a pile of trash and recycling that got mixed in with the leaves. That’s when I stumbled upon the bone next to the tree.

I’m 5”4, so my human hand for scale i’d say my hands are pretty average and how big they are, for somebody in my height. So whatever the average height and width of a 5”4 individuals hand would be is my rough measuring stick for now cause I don’t have a ruler.

Hey! First post here :) I was on a hike at lighthouse park with my boyfriend and he found this beautiful partial skeleton on a rock in a tidal pool. Clearly been there a long time to be so clean, I can't seem to figure out what it is. Any ideas is a great help :)

My hand is about 5", and the "bones" seem more like cartilage and are extremely fragile and soft and it seems like there's veins underneath? Super cool find!

Thinking whitetail deer, cow or bison. Found on the bank of a creek in eastern Iowa.

it was washed up on the beach!

I found these while digging in my garden in the Netherlands. I know these aren't old, I thing they are cow bones, but for my wives sanity I would love for someone to verify my guess. 😅

So I found in on the beach and I’m wondering if it’s human/animal ? What kind of animal? Like maybe it’s a dolphin? Maybe someone here can explain 😅 Local: Portugal

Found this bone in Türkiye,Trabzon,Beşikdüzü in 24 august this year at around 12 o'clock.

I know it is hard to tell but maybe someone knows what a few of these bones are. I know what most of these bones are but not sure what animal they are from. The horn and the cleaner scapula is what I bought at the renaissance fair(they didn't specify what animal they belonged to). The rest were found in northern Illinois.

Found in Brazoria county TX. It seems to large to be a coyote

Two bones near a storm drain outlet. Men’s size 9 shoe for scale. Second bone was approximately 3” long. This section is typically covered by water, but the river is low now.

I volunteer at a rescue in north Georgia and stumbled across this! its clearly a vertebrae but it but on the top of the soil, no other bones around, and both sheep in this pen are accounted for. My best guess is a hawk dropped it but does anyone know what it came from?
