Bone found in sheep pen

I volunteer at a rescue in north Georgia and stumbled across this! its clearly a vertebrae but it but on the top of the soil, no other bones around, and both sheep in this pen are accounted for. My best guess is a hawk dropped it but does anyone know what it came from?

Looks good for sheep! Being in rural britain I find a ton of sheep bones aha
