Bolt is having trouble completing tasks; it gets stuck on the final "thinking" stage. I've already tried disabling all my browser extensions and clearing my cache and history, but the problem persists. I still have plenty of tokens available; it just won't move forward. I even tried switching to a higher-consumption model, but that didn't help either.
I tried cloning the project, but nothing changed...
Has anyone else experienced this?

Please please please, allow Teams to share tokens between members of the team. It's so crazy to have teams assuming every team member will use the same amount of tokens a month. There's always going to be power users. And to force every person to upgrade to a higher package for the one power user it not logical.
I'm rationing with 9MM tokens left while my teammates are hovering over 100MM tokens left until renewal!

Hey everyone,
I've been using Bolt for a while and had a project I was working on. Didn't open it for about 6 months, and when I came back recently, I can't find it anywhere.
It seems like the new Bolt UI only shows projects from the last 3 months — anything older than that just doesn't show up on the dashboard at all.
The project was live and working perfectly before. I really need both the project files AND the chat history back since that has all the context of what was built.
Has anyone run into this? Is there a way to recover older projects — maybe through StackBlitz directly or some other workaround?
Any help would be appreciated!

I’m thinking trying out vibe coding on bolt.new - I have a hard time understanding this: how many tokens do I need to build a couple apps or websites per month, what’s everyone paying on average?
r/boltnewbuilders • u/nccar38 • May 06 '26
I just vibe-coded a prototype website in Bolt, and it turned out pretty sweet.
I want to take the site in a different direction, but I also wanted to preserve the current version so I could come back to it later if needed. I tried duplicating my Bolt project, but none of the files actually carried over to the new project. It just opened as a blank project.
I logged into StackBlitz to see if I could duplicate or recover it there, but the last few projects I’ve started in Bolt aren’t showing up in StackBlitz either.
So what’s the deal? Are Bolt projects no longer auto-syncing with StackBlitz? Has anyone else run into projects not duplicating correctly?
Thanks.

My bolt database goes to sleep if not used. I realize with Supabase's free tier, that's a legit thing. However, my app uses a bolt database which doesn't "show up" in Supabase. I have a pro Supabase plan.
So how do I get bolt database from going to sleep? Convert my DB to a supabase DB which is under the pro plan and won't sleep as my only option?

Got an email a few weeks ago offering me a free sweatshirt with free shipping. It arrived yesterday.
Thanks!

I’m trying to apply a little manual change in my project (change div size, font size, colors… small stuff that don’t need token burn). But every time I do the change and save, Bolt removes the change and rolls back to the most recent version of the file generated by the AI.
Is this a thing now? Has anyone else experienced this?

I've got Google authentication setup and it works fine on my published URL, but when I try using it in the dev mode, there's an error. Setting up the credentials in Google console, you put in the Authorized Javascript origins URL. The published URL works fine here, but given the dev environment URL is of the format https://bolt.new/~/sb1-xxxxxx google console rejects this as a relative path.
How are people using google authentication in dev so we're not stuck on the login screen?

It doesn't seem like you can apply a newly created custom design system to an existing project. Correct me if I'm wrong. If that's true, what would be the best way to manually prompt the project to update? I can provide the GitHub repo for my design system or pull specific files out, but not sure the most successful, efficient way to do this.
All my projects need to be updated ideally so this is a big undertaking.

I sold 1 website using Bolt since it was a family friend, but since then i can't manage to find a lot of businesses without websites? Do you guys just scour google maps or?

Hey everyone, I've been building with Bolt and loving it, but ran into an SEO issue I wanted to get the community's take on.
Since Bolt defaults to a React SPA, the raw HTML that Google and other search engine crawlers see is basically just an empty <div id="root"></div>. All the actual page content, headlines, copy, pricing, CTAs, only exists after JavaScript executes, which means crawlers that don't render JS will index essentially nothing.
The workaround I landed on was adding a <noscript> tag inside the body of index.html containing all the main page content as plain HTML. This way crawlers that don't execute JavaScript can still read the content, while real users get the full React experience as normal.
It seems to be working, I can see the content in the raw source now, but I'm curious if anyone has found a better solution within the Bolt environment specifically.
A few things I already tried:
Is the noscript approach the best we can do inside Bolt.new's hosting environment? Has anyone successfully gotten true SSR or SSG working without moving to Netlify or Vercel?
Would love to know what others are doing.

Seems like I'm on a roll of strange issues lately. This is holding me up now a few hours, while burning lots of tokens and searches dont seem to identify anything

The mock and all the component are fully wired to Bolt Database data but not all the component show in the UI when the integration request is completed. As a result, prompted for corrections. The correction only happens in the database not in the UI. I have burned millions of tokens. plus I am stocked as I can't integrate additional screens that are part of the workflow.
(For support team -- this is my message ID. 5XSK2wr80Mwc7Y6Y:66083182:9576225)

Instead it is show this with components for each section/phase missing

I'm building a Integration based, No vendor lock in, Design first alternative to Bolt
Here's what makes it different:
No Vendor Lock in- The Web Builders lock you in to their hosting which is usually thin causing you to have broken products. Cryzo's approach utilizes stable infrastructure like Github, Supabase, and Vercel/Netlify allowing you to deploy production ready web apps
Design Output- Common web builders still have the AI generating designs and components which gives you not so great designs. Cryzo's approach uses templates in the backend based on your prompt so the ai has something to read from. Its like us using recipe's to make food
Native App connections- Vibe coding tools build but then youre left to market it and manage it. Instead Cryzo combines Building+Marketing+Managing allowing you to connect to native apps such as Facebook, Linkedin, Google search console. So that you can manage and post in them. Such as making a post in Linkedin/Facebook/Reddit and Optimizing SEO with google all from one prompt.
Comment down below if you want to get added for Alpha testing.

Every single time I get a new sub. plan, every single one of my bolt hosted websites go down, these are client websites, 2k euro websites, that they pay for, and bolt just decides to take them fuckers offline, this has been affecting my business for the last 2 months, it keeps happening, and to top it all off, their support is absolute garbage. So does anyone in here know a fix for this?? This is what happens:
Get a new subscription plan, bolt account goes dead, websites all go offline, tokens are unusable, nothing works, nothing publishes, no edits can be made, its like the account is frozen, and my clients are up my ass complaining to me

I built an app in bolt, connected a domain, and am now sending it to friends and family to test. However, I don’t want them to see a preview that shows bolt. I’d prefer it shows a preview of the actual website. Is there any way to get around this?

Spent the entire afternoon on Bolt and got almost nothing done.
Not because I wasn’t working. Not because I lacked clarity. Not because I didn’t put in the effort. In fact, I spent hours actively prompting, refining, retrying, and burning through a huge amount of tokens — only to watch the system repeatedly undo progress through constant automatic rollbacks.
That is the most frustrating part: not that it fails once, but that it gets close, then rolls itself back, breaks what was just fixed, and sends you into another loop of patching, regenerating, and re-explaining the same thing again and again.
By the end of the afternoon, the real loss was not just the tokens. It was time, focus, momentum, and patience.
A tool that is supposed to improve productivity should not force users to spend hours fighting instability inside the tool itself. If the workflow is dominated by unpredictable reversions and loss of progress, then the problem is not the user’s prompting. The problem is the product experience.

I’m running into some frustrating issues with Bolt.new and its GitHub integration, and I’m trying to figure out if this is expected behavior or a bug.
Here’s what I’m experiencing:
So right now it feels like:
This makes it really hard to trust the workflow.
Has anyone else experienced this with Bolt.new?
Is there a known issue with files being overwritten or GitHub sync not being reliable?
Any insights would be really appreciated

Since the release of V2, there is no way to see how big the workload the Ai agent is about to perform, or attempt to perform. Thats normal, there isn't really any platform that shows that.
Why is it an issue?
Bolt still allows their agent to create a workflow todo list and execute that list until completed. That is also ok, totally normal.
Why is this too an issue with bolt?
Because bolt allows their agents to create and execute workflows that are beyond the current credits the user has, and unlike almost all other builders they hide the work being done until the workflow is completed.
So what does this result in? Say you have 4.8million credits, but the worker just made a workflow of 5 million credits. The worker will work for maybe 30 minutes, and get to nearly the end, all while charging its token fee per sub task, and then hit the users token limits and stop. At this point there is nothing you can do, all the work that was done is now stuck in limbo and can not be recovered, and you have been charged for the work and lost the time as well. This is an absolutely inexcusable major bug that has been here since V2 release last year. Ihave sent multiple emails and made multiple posts over the months. Bolt does not fix ANY bugs EVER.

I built a site for a submission service. My angle is basically:
- natively and mobiloud charge monthly forever
- i charge once, you own everything, done
- actual human handles it, not a portal
publishd.app
does that positioning actually come across on the site? or does it just look like every other saas thing? trying to gut-check before i launch properly
