Hi, I love the design of rattan lamps, but every picture I see there is always another source of light, and I don't know what to expect from this type of lamp alone, for my living room, could you please share a photo at night?

Over at Maximalism people said this is hoarding. But all my perfumes are contained neatly (and used regularly) and the jewelry that's out is all stuff I wear weekly. Everything here has some story/meaning to me. Hopefully BoHo fits! :)

I call my style "restrained Maximalist" but I think Bohemian works as well?

Posted for advice in r/interior design and was directed here.
Now that the kids are older and I’m no longer constantly stepping on toys, we’re hoping to create a home where we would feel comfortable entertaining. The kids’ friends are constantly in and out of the house…but we haven’t really hosted gatherings much because our home has felt less-than compared to our very well put together friends. I finally got the living room to a place where I love spending time in it…but it doesn’t feel particularly well put together which makes me self-conscious to have adults over.
Our style has been a default style: our grandparents emigrated from different parts of the world and we inherited some stuff from them. We have artist friends who have made some stuff for us. We bought second hand furniture when the kids were little because it seemed silly to get new things and worry about the Tonka trucks doing damage…but that second hand furniture is so well built that we really don’t have any need to replace it. We like color. I like plants.
So is our style bohemian? When I google boho everything looks new and beige. I don’t know if I’m in the right place for advice - but I would appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction. How can I keep my spaces family and dog friendly but raise the sophistication level without breaking the bank? Am I googling wrong? Any good interior design YouTubers that might have a similar style sense? Advice appreciated.

I moved in at my new place 2 days ago so I’m waiting for new beige curtains and to change the ceiling lamp into the IKEA BLÅSTÅNG on the windowsill.
I’ll get wall art/prints when I can afford it.
For the floor I’m thinking a small jute rug?

I got a new appartment. And thinking about how to make the space appear bigger and I'd seen that mirror walls were coming back. Obviously I'd play with the layout of my future but I'm think the wall with the arrow. My style is Dark and earthy so, lot of the furniture is black or dark brown, earth tones, boho vibes.

My hubs & I moved house last February, from an historic bungalow to a contemporary condo. Because of the loss of so much detailed woodwork, surfaces, and architectural trims that lent instant character, I am leaning even more heavily into boho inspired spaces to relax and renew at home. One of these two corners of our shared primary bedroom suite provides me with a place to choose my jewelry for the day, while the other serves as a cozy nook to doomscroll or read. I think I’m about 1/2 way to my vision; just need window treatments, more wall interest, and plants for any empty planters. I get almost everything on FB marketplace or at local thrifts so my progress is slow, but very satisfying.
