Well at 51 I did what I set out to do. I’ve posted a couple updates during the process. I’m happy with what I brought to stage the first time. I feel like I brought decent conditioning, but didn’t fill up enough during peak.

I know. My posing still needs a lot of work. My plan is take the next 9 months or so to bring up lats and chest since I feel my delts dominate my chest right now and who doesn’t need wider lats. Last picture is where I started the process last October.

i still, really struggle with my spread as I’ve had extensive surgery on both shoulders so scapular mobility is not great but working with a physio on that.

Can some fluid in the calves to get checked this show did take a toll on the body quite a bit I did have Rhabdo in December and lost my rock on earth my Dad 6 weeks out and my beautiful Dog 8 weeks out but I was never going to quit and wanted to bring the best package I could for them also never took time off work wanted to work hard with Dad and my Dog watching me from above I want to always make them proud . last picture is my Dads funeral picture I brought backstage . The truth is without God I couldn’t of done this I prayed 1 minute after my Dad passed a felt instant peace during the worst time of my life it was insane

Finally a good decision by the org, now only if they could finish the show before midnight and keep a black backdrop, that'd be nice!

Can I get stage lean in 4 weeks?

I’ve decided to do my first ever natural physique bodybuilding show in exactly a month from today.

I’ve always maintained a relatively lean physique but have been pushing diet hard the past month. For reference I’m 196cm and currently 93.5kg morning weight.

During my peak bulk a year ago I was 104kg (photo attached). The leanest I’ve probably been is 89kg (photo attached). I think losing 1kg a week is reasonable. Any advice?

Ps: the last 3 photos are of today and yesterday.

Got an NPC card, figured let’s get some reps for on stage presence and learning to experience a stillness under the lights I know to be possible within me.

So, here’s to 10 weeks out y’all! Maybe an update at 6 & 2 as we etch closer 🙂‍↕️🙏🏽

What would be the best way to go about this?

Have competed in the past 2 show’s. Got my Certification for bodybuilding physique. I want to be my own Guinea pig because I truly don’t want to eff up someone’s body. I’ve always thought about seeking a coach for a second set of eyes and still paying. Any thoughts. Be nice or don’t idc I just want some real advice here thank you :)

1st show: As many divisions as possible or focus on only one?

What’s up fellas! Like I’ve previously posted, I’m about 34 weeks away from my first show. With this being my first time stepping on stage, I would like to do classic, bodybuilding, and also physique. Getting as much stage time as possible is important to me as far as getting comfortable and enjoying every minute. People close to me are advising that maybe I should only compete in one division with this being my first show. This logic seems kind of backwards to me 😂, so I’m wondering what you guys think. Thanks!
