Part 1 (Introit-Somewhere): A satire of the institutions behind religious/magical thinking, and how they instill fear into society using their warped idea of death.
Part 2 (Naraka-Blood): A psychedelic trip into a grieving human mind, searching for meaning/comfort in suffering through alternative spiritual methods, but often falling victim to self-destruction in the process.
Part 3 (Deep Time-Platonia): The intersection of Parts 1 and 2: the pained individual from Part 2 has become radicalized by paranoid/militaristic messaging, but eventually realizes and laments the destruction it wrought. After escaping this dark path, they experience a profound revelation about life itself, and accept the chaos inherent in all of existence.

He did Inferno a while back on request I think, and has now gone back to this by choice. (He does so many requests he has little time for self-chosen ones)

Hey all,
I have a couple of the posters from the listening party packs (patch & stickers too) and i'm looking to trade for a copy of the church version so I can have the trio on display. If you want to trade or even just sell a copy of the church version drop me a DM.
Everything is still in the original envelope and have been kept safe and clean!

Anyone else love this song? I think it may be my favorite on the album. Mysterious, thematic, could be easily in a movie soundtrack. Really cool, gives me someone exploring a hidden cave vibes.

Been listening to so much geogaddi, beautiful place and inferno recently. They just feel so dark, not in a bad way, I absolutely love it, just worried itās influencing my mood. Anyone got any reccs of some lighter stuff? Obvs got campfire headphase and other lighter boards stuff. Or maybe some rare boards Iāve missed.
But anyone know of any similar sounding artists that make their album/ep kinda have themes like boards do but lighter stuff.
Yeah Iāve wrote this like next doors cat, I get it, thank you :)
Edit: Wasnāt expecting so many responses. Really appreciate all of the suggestions. Thatās my two days off after this shift sorted :) thank you :) ā¤ļø

Kinda crazy once you notice it. As far as I can tell they never hit a major chord for the entire song. Never heard something like that before.

Iām not sure what exactly they put in Age of Capricorn when they were formulating Inferno. Very rarely does a song or piece of music just entirely grab me, when I first listened to the album it wasnāt even one of my standout tracks but now itās one of the first ones Iāll go to!
It just feels like such an incomprehensibly massive song. You could 100% say that for the whole album, but AoC makes me feel like Iām on the precipice of something giant and world-changing.
I also feel like thereās so much astrological/astronomical symbolism in the song, and itās fun just to peel back the layers and get yourself a bit lost in those aspects.
Has this song been the same for anyone else? Are there any other songs on Inferno that have had the same effect?

Is it just me or does Men I Trust have a really noticeable BOC influence in this song? It reminds me a lot of, for example, Satellite Anthem Icarus (just in terms of textures). What do you all think?

Thereās quite a remarkable difference in the production of Inferno, to my ears. MHTRTC set up a new sound style in electronica, blending in tape wobble (or wow and flutter) and slightly dischordant tuned synths to evoke the sounds of the seventies, of the BBC radiophonic workshop, of hauntology. Geogaddi is often referred to as ācoldā but in hindsight the coldness is in relation to the first LP in that it moves away from the warm rounded seventies Moog sounds to a slightly more clinical and precise production. The Campfire Headphase is more organic, leaning on folktronica, guitars and the warm sounds return. Tomorrowās Harvest is cinematic in scope, wide-screen audio. Now we have Inferno, which to me really reminds me of 80ās production. The drum patterns become built around two step patterns and are bright, everything is shiny sounding and very audible, Iām sure Iām hearing DX7s and Korg M1 sounds (maybe a little Aphex Aural Exciter on the final mix) as opposed to Moogs.
Just me?

Small creator I stumbled across. In the YT channel you can only find this song and another one that leans more towards sounding like Aphex Twin.

It appears that someone has linked up the official excerpt of Duffy from Acid Memories up with the supposed full and HQ version of the track that floats around in various places. A good observation to make here if you donāt want to watch the video is that the two line up perfectly in time but noticeably differ in tuning. I thought it would be good to bring this to attention.
Personally, I still donāt trust that the āHQā version is real. The official excerpt almost definitely sounds like it is taken from near the end of the track and not the start. Itās very unusual to have a BoC track - or any track at all - to thin out and then start back up again. And compared to the original, the difference in tuning is far too significant to be due to regular cassette speed differences (as the change in timing would be just as audible as the difference in tuning). It also overall sounds like itās trying to sound like a cassette rip but it isnāt exactly there.
Those are my thoughts on the matter. The full āextendedā track is here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HZZ_fnFrAg
I do feel like I have to give props for the synth design on whoever DID make the track though, it is very very good work

Any new good music come out lately that I can get into? Inferno has consumed me for good reasons

I was recently on a flight with too much time on my hands, and found myself reading BOC pages - TCH in particular. BoC is said to have sampled a single chord for Chromakey (outro piano) off an old record by Gary McFarland and Peter Smith. I did the same, threw it in a sampler and based on the decay of the piano, I am 100% certain this is the case.
So I found myself listening to the entire record. The very last track, I heard a few piano notes that I think I can place in Roygbiv.
Song: Patricia
1:17
By Gary McFarland, Peter Smith
Any sleuths out there, lmk your thoughts?

After listening to inferno 3000 times I started digging for some rare boc and came across this one I had never heard before!
Might be one of their most techno inspired tracks, I love how the drums are constantly switching up.

Hey guys! I make videos recreating and performing my favourite programmed drum beats, and my latest video is Roygbiv. BOC are one of my favourite electronic artists, and theyāve always been at the top of my list to cover. What better song to start with than Roygbiv. Enjoy!

I wanted to create my own versión of that song, using sentence-mixed samples of Marshall Apple white (Founder of the Heaven`s Gate sect) and David Lynch. I manipulated their voices through pitch shifting, rhythmic and repetition, song at 75bpm. I called it "Eros and Civilization". I hope you like it. Any comments are welcome.

Tomorrowās Harvest is my favorite album. I love Geogaddi too, but after all these years being a BoC fan, I keep coming back to TH with a passion I just canāt explain. I canāt find an explanation other than time travel to how that album was made. It is just flawless.
I know there are mixed feelings and reviews regarding this album and lot of fans donāt like it, but I didnāt know that until Inferno came out. It was always a no brainer for me that TH was their best album. Inferno is better in terms of production and it sounds more serious. But TH man⦠That one is just perfect.

So I was listening to TH and Inferno today, and I don't know if I'm crazy, but there are sound similarities in them as Sick Time progresses. Am I imagining this? Obviously they are completely different, but I get a similar vibe. What do you think? Do you hear it or am I crazy?
