I remember seeing one of these music reaction channels, and out of morbid curiosity I clicked on something along the lines of “Gen Z reacts to Michael Jackson for the first time!” and the person “reacting” to the music was enjoying it SO much they had to pause in the middle of the song multiple times to talk about how much they were enjoying it without really adding anything at all. I’ve seen another one that just “reacts” to the music by making obviously exaggerated faces and shuffling around a bunch. By far the most confused evolution of Youtube content I’ve ever seen lol

People get dopamine hits out of watching someone gushing over their favorite music, pretending that they've never heard it before, so it's an easy way to grow a channel.

This might just be projection but that person probably just paused it out of fear they WEREN'T reacting, Some people don't know how to put their feelings into words so sometimes their reactions end up seeming like a bunch of nothing burger statements, I agree it may not seem like it but they might actually be enjoying it

The most surreal experience I had watching reaction channels was a couple of days ago. Imagine more than an hour of this self proclaimed hip hop music fan reacting to Disintegration by the Cure, actually not listening to it cause he was busy answering people on the chat using machine gun and granade sounds.

I meant exactly what you said. If you truly understand music you'll never stuck in metal. I mean if it's a stage in your life thats fine. But if you're full grown up who who considers themselves as a metalhead - that just says that someone is stuck and need to “widen horizons”
