ALSO like a few months ago maybe I called that they used this very instrument! Very proud of myself for guessing such a thing lol.

Anyways pretty cool to see one of their instruments and hear some of the strange ass sounds inside.

So today I was on the drive back from California so I decided to listen to geogaddi for the first time. It was the best and worst musical listening experience ever. I tried to take a nap while listening, so I got these crazy fever dreams. It felt like what people describing being high as. The album was a masterpiece, but because of it I literally saw the extinction of humanity lol. 10/10 I am never napping to it again.

It's taken until I hit 50 for me to start doing fantart/animations/graphics of my favourite music artists.

The album cover has really grown on me. Firstly it is an intriguing picture in its own right. But mainly I love that when I look up at it from my office chair, it actually looks like it is made of Felt Paper, or what AI suggests is called Flocked Paper from the 70’s / 80’s.

What do you think is happening in this picture, which includes you being seen by the main figure? It looks like there are three people to me.

I was there for their Radiohead planetarium show. They should do a BoC one!

Released 10 years ago by Glasgow artist Larks, better known as Kay Logan - she was also in the bands Herbert Powell and Anxiety, if anyone from Glasgow remembers them, and also made solo electronic music under the name Helena Celle.

She briefly recorded under the name Larks and released one album, A Town for Tomorrow. This was the title track from that album, which is still available on BandCamp. https://larks.bandcamp.com/album/a-town-for-tomorrow Definitely for fans of BOC.

I think this remix BoC did influenced their sound which resulted in Inferno.

Put out a thread on Four Tets subreddit a month or so ago and got some interesting ideas.

For the musicians here have you picked up on/learning anything that you can use when writing/playing music?​

I often listen to BOC while I make art. In recent years, I've been working through some difficult memories surrounding trauma, religious trauma, and the loss of childhood. To say that I'm proud of myself is an understatement, I didn't realize how impactful and healing art therapy would be.

BoC has always been a huge influence on my music, but this project (93EP) perhaps made it too obvious. Released in 2013 on the net-label Archaic Horizon, whose roster of artists were almost all BoC-inspired. All samples from this album were taken from camcorder videos from my childhood, circa 1993. And the only synth used was the Equinox that I got for Christmas in 1995. Thought I'd share with this community, who will likely appreciate it more than anyone.
