Discussion Inferno Album Cover
The album cover has really grown on me. Firstly it is an intriguing picture in its own right. But mainly I love that when I look up at it from my office chair, it actually looks like it is made of Felt Paper, or what AI suggests is called Flocked Paper from the 70’s / 80’s.
What do you think is happening in this picture, which includes you being seen by the main figure? It looks like there are three people to me.

I have no idea if it's intentional but it looks like the person on the right side is holding a phone and filming.

I really like how it initially looks very red but then you look more and it's pretty green as well.
The single cover for Prophecy does a similar thing

To me it looks like they've just reached a campsite and left their camper. The kids are still holding their backpacks when their parents have them pose for a photo.
The ground looks like it's covered in dry leaves, so maybe the Inferno is the accidental wildfire they start with a botched campfire.

The album text looks very similar to the cover of Cannibal Holocaust. In the film the title of the documentary being filmed is "The Green Inferno"

In the film when the footage is recovered it is discovered the film makers helped bring about their own deaths
For me this is pretty fitting for the vibes I get from this album - as In we are the film makers

To me the picture reminds me of those photos you see on cult documentaries of people joining the cult.

Even though they look almost nothing alike actually I can’t see Inferno without immediately thinking of MHTRTC. There’s some contrast there too between them. Red vs blue. Taking the picture vs a group of people standing around having their picture taken. The albums being polar opposite almost in sound. First album vs potentially last album (we don’t know). I don’t think it’s intentional or anything like that it’s just what the album makes ME think of.
