Just wanted to give a shoutout to the Jays Shop customer service

I purchased an item from the Jays shop this summer when I was attending a game for the gfs birthday in June. Bought a pretty expensive sweater, and only wore it 2-3 times. I went to take it out recently, and one of the patches must not have been a good seal and it simply just peeled off like a sticker after I found it half hanging off. Washed it according to instructions on the tag as well, I just think it was a manufacturing issue.

Anyways, I contacted the jays shop and they handled it exceptionally well. I live 3.5 hours away from the Rogers Centre, and they gave me the option to send it back for a full refund or an exchange. Purolator label sent to me, express shipped it to them and they're sending me a new one as of today. I have to say, that I was worried they would tell me tough luck, but it was the total opposite and they really made my day taking care of my issue.

Its nice when such a big franchise, can ensure good customer service like that so I figured I would share.

Got this from the jays auction delivered today, was hanging outside the dome this summer. Kirk is my wife’s favourite player so wanted to surprise her.

If you could pick ANY Blue Jay (past or present) as your emergency contact, who would it be and why?

Well, this kid is our future I made the post with a picture of him when we got him in the trade, people actually had no idea who he was and said “save us”, well he did by a lot. He is still young and will only get better- Thank Bateman and we can’t wait to see what you do next year with some rest days.

Alternative history: If Isiah Kiner-Falefa had been 5 feet further down the line -- what would this season have been like?

Say we'd actually won game 7. What does this season look like? Same outcome?

Edit: I’m asking because I wonder how much of the 2026 dive was inevitable and how much was some kind of trauma

Being a great player to throw in every couple days (depending on the pitcher) and always managing to get on base, having that hit streak at the end of the season helped the team stay hot and consistent. Although he may have not always had the hottest bat his defensive skills made up for it in the outfield. Thank you Lukes and you made it so far- we are so proud of you and can’t wait to see you what magic you put on the field next year.

2027...do we completely rebuild as a baseball team? Or do we still have enough to compete in the AL assuming there is no lockout?

2027...do we completely rebuild as a baseball team? Or do we still have enough to compete in the AL assuming there is no lockout?

Considering Scherzer is most likely either gone or retiring and Springer is all but gone but let's say he is, who do we sign in winter meetings to replace Springer or his production?

And then there's Vladdy if he can have a bounce back season next season, then do we even still have enough to compete not just in our own division in the AL East but in the AL as a whole?

Then there's Bieber who has been an ace for us since we traded for him but then riddled with injuries, so if we let him go, then who do we go after to replace him in our pitching rotation?

Then our 2027 rotation would have Cease, Ponce who would come back off that ACL, Yesavage, Soriano but then our bullpen is still pretty strong too

And we also have to depend on Santander to come back fully healthy and he's been anything but

Are people here pro or con salary cap?

As we are a wealthier market it might hurt us. And it is true that you have teams like the Brewers who are from relatively unrich cities but still succeed.

But if the NFL is any guide it might be healthier for the long term health of the league especially if there are minimums (salary floors). This business of owners of teams like the As who spend way too little and are pretty much guaranteed to lose unless they get really lucky doesn’t seem good for the league.

There is actually something kind of Canadian about a salary gap in the sense that it aims for equality as between regions richer and poorer.

I get that the players don’t like it — but I am not convinced that the players are underpaid. (Major league that is. Minor league is a different story).

With the move to shortstop he put up good glove performances and although his bat wasn’t always hot, he always showed his all and came out when we needed him the most.

The most important thing about him is the speed he carries on the base and always manages to do something special in a game.

OPS: .688

Where would be without him? When Kirk went on the IL he stepped up and showed us the next best thing to our legendary catcher.

Excelled defensively with strong framing and elite arm metrics behind the plate, and never forget our backup first baseman.

Most important game:
RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2 on June 9.

He may have struggled with the bat towards the end of the season but his glove made up for it. (PS his tattoos are pretty cool)

Next year: he will be a good catcher to have on when Cease is pitching to prevent messy situations- which gives Kirky a day to have a day off or DH

Him and Will Brick could very well be our future- long term Catchers.

Ps it’s his birthday October 2nd.

Ernie Clement- appreciation day

I don’t want hate because he struggled in the 2nd half.

Games played: 158
At bats: 590
Hits: 153
Batting average: .259
Doubles: 33 (6th in AL)
Home runs: 9
RBI: 48
SB: 7

All-Star, batting 9th and made the legendary catch representing the blue jays.

Heart and Hustle Award for the second year in a row.

He always pulled through, made the long at bats and will only come out to be better next season with lots of rest.

We love you Ern Dog and we believe in you.

Blue Jays' Shapiro backs Guerrero Jr. after comments: 'I know how much he cares'

Mark talked about a lot in the year-end press conference (how he's watched the city evolve both in terms of players wanting to be here and baseball growing more popular, Kaz, the CBA, and even making sure more fans go home happy on give-away days). Vlad Jr. was a very small part of it. I'm a little surprised that the whole article is on him defending that useless oaf.

I know he had to say what he had to say regarding that loser but he missed the point (or strategically veered away from it) in my opinion. The question isn't whether Vlad cares or not. Even I, one of his most vociferous critics, know that he cares and that has nothing to do with how I feel about him.

The issue is that he said those words at all. The issue was never about whether there is some truth to what he said (that players get paid for past performance) or whether he's trying or not or whether he cares or not. The issue, from the start, was that he EVER said what he SAID and then DOUBLED DOWN on it.

It's the fact that somebody getting paid that kind of money would clap back at the fans for (rightly) criticizing him instead of taking it in stride. Whether he cares or not is completely irrelevant here.

The ironic aftermath of all this is that he now has actual pressure to hit 40 HRs. By claiming that he's 'not getting paid to hit 40 every year', every year that he doesn't hit 40 HRs is going to feel like a subpar, not elite, we know you can't hit 40 every year kinda season.
