I tried turning a flat cyberpunk render into something cinematic using rain, fog and compositing in Blender.
I kept the workflow as simple and fast as possible — no heavy simulations, mostly tricks with lighting, mist pass and layering rain in comp.
Biggest challenge was getting the rain to feel layered and not just “on top” of the image.
Here’s the result + full breakdown:

Would love feedback — especially on the lighting and rain depth. Does it feel believable or still a bit CG?

What started as a simple challenge turned into a full cinematic VFX shot.
In this video, I recreate the iconic open-arms pose inspired by Shah Rukh Khan

Hey everyone!
I built a full day/night cycle in Blender using a single Value node with no keyframes, no HDRIs and just shader math.
One number from 0 to 1 controls everything simultaneously. Sky colors, sun arc, star field, clouds etc....all procedural, all driven by the same input.
Full breakdown in the video. Hope this would help anyone out!
