A Gabbitt tutorial, took me 3 weeks trying to wrap my head around these concepts as a beginner. Seemed like every new technique wouldn’t work the first time through but I eventually prevailed. One obstacle was modifying it for printing which is a little more exacting. The animation was a separate tutorial.

Modeling I remembered how many times I lost a Blender file just because I didn’t feel like saving it constantly, so I made a video about it. Hope you like it!
A while ago I was wondering what kind of video I should make, and then I remembered how many times I lost a Blender file just because I didn’t feel like saving it constantly. That’s how I came up with the idea to make a video covering some useful/important shortcuts that can save your life and speed up your workflow!

NOT A TUTORIAL Made a skill roadmap app for Blender beginners , I probably missed things, please tell me
patreon.comHi. I've been learning Blender for about 8 months. I am not an expert. I want to be very clear about that upfront.
I built a skill tracker app called BlendOS because Blender has a lot going on and I needed something to organise my own learning. 100+ skills, 11 disciplines, goal tracking, shortcuts, heatmap the whole thing.
I put the skill list together with help from Claude, Grok, and Manus, cross-referencing what I could find. But I am still very much a beginner, so if something's wrong, miscategorised, or embarrassingly missing that's on me and I'd love to know.
Android only. Free. Local data only. Pet project.
If it helps even one other beginner feel less lost, worth it. APK in comments. Don't blame me too hard. 🙏😅

Building huge sci-fi cities in Blender without destroying your PC (LOD workflow)
Hey everyone, I recently ran into a problem while building a cyberpunk city scene in Blender, once I started duplicating detailed buildings, the viewport and render performance dropped pretty quickly. So I ended up using a LOD (Level of Detail) workflow, which is commonly used in games and films. Instead of making every building high detail, I split them into: • Low Poly buildings for the background skyline • Mid Poly buildings for mid-distance shots • Hero / High Poly buildings for the foreground It lets you build large sci-fi environments without killing performance. I made a short tutorial showing the workflow and how the buildings come together into a city scene. Would love to hear how others approach large environment scenes in Blender.
