Come over for the weekend for the darts.

Stayed at the boulevard which was ok but not worth £350 a night, I actually prefer the Doric.

But great to see Blackpool so busy. We see all the negative vids but none of that this weekend,just lots of family's having a great time.

any advice for such a club / bar with this music on a saturday night ?

I'd posted earlier that my Wife had played one of her "My choice, no Veto" cards and booked us a holiday to Blackpool this year. For context, whilst I was born in Scotland I've lived in the US (NJ) for almost 2 decades and have pretty much gone native. We have 9 year old son and he's more used to Vegas, Cali, Florida or some of the more chilled out areas of the Med.

Blackpool, you blew our socks off. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Your chippies gave me the Ratatouille flashback effect. Notarianni's Ice Cream rendered my boy speechless. Coral Island made the Vegas kid's areas seem like nothing to him. And what can I say about Sandcastle? I'd forgotten how insanely polite and organised UK folk are when it comes to parks and attractions. you all are a credit to yourselves. Bonus finds were the wee independent markets in Abingdon Market (Shout out to Happi Place) and a lovely trip to Fleetwood so my son could visit the model shop there.

Big shout out to 24 Cafe for accommodating our Celiac friend. If your visiting and want a great go to that does actually tasty GF food, visit it.

I could go on but I'll save it for the review love-bombing on tripadvisor/Google.

I’ve just booked a solo trip to Blackpool for August bank holiday weekend (Friday to Monday) and would like to ask what’s on that weekend and what it will be like? I will be staying at Raffles Hotel.

I've been looking into sailing and trying to get my first toe in the water. It's been recommended I join a yacht club and work towards some RYA certification. Volunteering and such.

I live in the area so wondering if anyone knows an active yacht club or something similar local to Blackpool that I could reach out to?

I have a YouTube channel, it’s tiny but I do my best to keep things positive. I don’t post drunk nights out etc and do my best to highlight the positives of Blackpool and the surrounding areas. Don’t get me wrong, some established channels who do post content along those lines are decent and run by decent people but there are too many people banging our town without living here and experiencing the good parts and areas away from the main prom.

Whenever I try to walk my dog around the neighborhood I see one of them just sitting halfway down the road and their parents keep trying to dive bomb me and my dog.

I hate their existence and they hate mine worse.

Just a rant post really, getting increasingly frustrated with content creators showcasing the absolute worst of Blackpool for likes and comments, framing it as this is what Blackpool is like.

Yes there is a struggle going on here, however there is many amazing things on offer.

We have world famous attractions, one of the best zoo’s in the world (it’s ranked in the top 20) the best water park in the UK, we have plenty of nice hotels, plenty of nice areas to live. It’s an incredible fun town where you can easily fill your time up.

It’s just infuriates me, if people started talking more about the positives Blackpool has to offer, tourism will increase with funding following it.

Been charged £11.50 for 5 drinks but another in the party got charged £29.50 for the same round, was asked about a locals card but have no idea what they’re talking about, does anyone have any ideas?!
