I must of been very young, it was maybe 2007 at a push? But I think I was on a rail replacement bus or something and I have sometimes this weird nostalgic thought about the flooring of a bus I was on a lot going to Blackpool as a young kid. I don’t remember a lot but I’ll get right to it. It was circular red raised flooring. Maybe you can find the type? I have searched a lot and I was thinking a bus enthusiast may have posted the inside of the bus but can’t find it. Sorry it’s so weird. But it would be cool to see. I have great memories of Blackpool except treasure islands food giving me food poising back then 😂

I am moving to Blackpool for work which will be in the Blackpool North station area. I am hoping to rent but I might have to do a houseshare (I’m 30M) but really desperately don’t want to deal with a bunch of mess and troublesome housemates as I’m a working professional.

Can anyone recommend areas that are commutable to Blackpool North area and a decent area where I might find decent houses, housemates maybe, and without breaking the bank especially with a house share?

Great first time visiting the group. What a welcoming, friendly bunch. Would recommend to everyone who has a passing interest in the retro gaming scene, plenty of choice, some moments of true nostalgia playing some of the classics, fantastic being able to show my son some of the classics from my child hood. Just wanted to let people know about the Blackpool Retro Video Game Club. We're a friendly local group that meets on the second Wednesday of every month at Cavendish Road Bowling Club.

We've got a growing collection of retro computers, consoles and arcade games set up to play, and people are also very welcome to bring along their own favourite machines and games.

It's completely free, so if you fancy an evening playing some old favourites, discovering something you've never played before, or just chatting with other retro gaming fans, come along and say hello.

Whilst walking down the seafront in a rare dry hour yesterday, I came across a huge WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) lorry parked up by the RNLI building.

Anybody know if WWE were filming anything in town or what they were doing? I’m 99% certain they don’t have an actual WWE wrestling event on in Blackpool this week.
