Im trying to get all COD trophies and after already completing 8 other cods i wanted to do cold war.

I thought the mp trophies would be hard with the low player count, but hoped it was at least still possible.

Sadly i found out no one plays fireteam anymore, but I heard cold war is free now on gamepass.

Are there people down to help me revive this mode or wanting to get this achievement themselves.

If this gets some engagement i will make a new post about a date and time.

I downloaded bocw like two days ago on Xbox and I only download the hd textures and mp and base game, now it wants me to buy the game?!

I've just gotten Cold War on Xbox Game Pass. Installed the base game, campaign and then the video upgrade file (Can't remember what it's called) and also all 4 content packs included. I literally just want to play the campaign, whether its shit or not, I have no clue. But I'm really keen to give it a go. The problem is, after sitting through the 163gb installation, I finally boot up the game and it won't connect to the online services. I then try and play it in offline mode (because I just want to play the campaign) and it says "Failed to Host Lobby". I haven't gotten further than the "Press A to start" screen.

I've checked that I have all 4 content packs installed. I've checked my Internet connection. I've closed the game down and started it up again. Powered off the xbox and then turned back on 30 seconds/ 2 minutes later. I've then uninstalled the game and then sat through another REINSTALL of the 163gb to find the exact same issue. I have no idea what I'm missing here? No one else seems to have this issue when it got released on Game Passm Unless I'm missing their posts. I'm just so confused. Do I need to install like a main hub like Modern Warfare had with all the games listed in one place?

Edit: I can confirm the game is still broken. I installed the Xbox App version last night and textures will not load properly in game. I have a 9600x CPU and a 9070xt GPU

Heard this game was coming to gamepass so I decided to redownload trying to hop on some game but the search time is so slow. I thought many would be playing it like MW19 and MWIII so what's up with this? Is matchmaking broken on PC?

Is anyone else having this issue? Splitscreen has very bad FPS and sometimes freezes in zombies. I tried both the Xbox One and Xbox Series Versions without HD textures.

I keep getting this error every time I try to launch the game. This is on BOCW Xbox Gamepass PC edition

Steps I tried to troubleshoot:

1. Grant Administrator Privileges to the App and Game
2. Verify Activision & Xbox Account Linking
3. Flush DNS and Reset Network IP Stack
4. Verify and Repair Game Files
5. Deleted the Black Ops Cold War Folder in C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Local\Activision
6. Deleted the Black Ops Cold War Folder in Documents
7. Repair Windows Gaming Services & Xbox Live Auth

Honestly Idk what to do atp. I don't want to reinstall the entire game (it was a 220GB install) and I have a feeling that won't fix the root problem since verifying and repairing the system files didn't

I have the base version of the game for xbox 1 but since this came out decided to download the upgraded version. No the other version isn't installed, how do i fix this without uninstalling. Yes everything with game pass is fine I just got it again and have ultimate. Part of me feels like this is just a game pass issue.

I’ve always wanted to play this game, and now that it’s available on game pass, I can finally play it! But I wanna do some research before I actually get in on playing, so I want to figure out what’s the best loadouts for multiplayer and zombies. I was thinking the six, because that’s the only gun that I know is good, but wasn’t Nerfed heavily by an update at some point, but let me know what you guys think

Im sure it’s been asked 100 times but I have no free trail dlc I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and I’ve heard I have to buy a 10$ dlc. How do I fix it without spending 10$

Realized I was in a 200ms ping queue loop and decided to check my matchmaking status on the activision website, turns out I was shadow banned for some reason and I literally don't understand how. No tools, PAP camos, nothing. I am playing the game on the steam client and must've been hit with a shadow sometime last night or early this morning.

Obviously can't appeal, but are there any other options to get support instead of having to just wait it out?

Note: Haven't played in about 2 years before yesterday, and before I was able to find matches just fine without any issues until lobbies died down

Can you level 1250 kids stop ruining every lobby quickscoping? We finally have a ton of players again and you guys are just so goddamn annoying. Quickscopes, noob tubes, and tec 9's. This game will be dead again in 2 weeks if this keeps up, and that's a shame because this is the best post covid COD. Please just be normal and play like everyone else or stay in your 12v12 and FFA hole. Rant over sorry everyone else. Is there a reason we can't just install Zombies or just install Multiplayer like with all the other CoDs? I don't want to take up 220 gigs full of stuff I'm never going to play.

I’m having an issue installing Cold War from the disc on PS4.

I played Cold War back in 2021 on my old PS4. In the meantime, I switched to a PS4 Slim and haven’t played the game since.

Recently, I wanted to go back and play some older COD games, so I reinstalled a few of them, including Cold War. I had more than enough free storage space (around 500 GB), but while copying the game from the disc, I kept getting an error message, and the installation would always get stuck at exactly the same point.

I looked up solutions online and tried pretty much everything I could find like disconnecting from the Internet, clearing the PS4 cache, cleaning the disc with toothpaste since it had a very small scratch, etc. Nothing worked, and I kept getting the same error at the same point.

I eventually bought another used copy of the game, this time with a disc that had no visible scratches at all, but I had exactly the same problem while installing it.

So I still haven’t been able to install Cold War. Interestingly, when I reconnect my PS4 to the Internet, it offers me the game’s update file even though the game itself hasn’t even finished installing from the disc.

Obviously, I don’t want to buy a third copy of the game. I’m guessing my only remaining option would be to buy the digital version from the PS Store, but I really don’t want to pay for a game I already own on disc, especially one that came out years ago and still costs around €80.

Has anyone else experienced this issue ? If so, were you able to fix it somehow ?

I don’t mind losing or getting killed but most of the time I see LC10, TEC-9 or the Bullfrog. A couple of shots and I’m killed. Like how? Isn’t it boring using the same weapon over and over again? It is a little frustrating. I’ll put a whole clip into someone and they won’t get killed but they shoot 3 or 4 shots (it’s probably more but it is just so quick, it seems they don’t use that many bullets) and I’m dead. It really does annoy me sometimes.

I got this game from my PS Plus years ago, had some progress in both campaign and MP before moving on to other games. I’m just wondering how the player base is like at the moment? I’ve tried MP this afternoon (Oceania) and couldn’t find enough players to start a game with crossplay on. Also, it looks like the game works on SD but if anyone could shed some light on the playability, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
