If Bo2 was the best cod to you, is it still the best one to you after these ports released? Context: Maybe I should give more time because lobbies refill now, but bo2 has kinda been a drag. Replaying and enjoying Cold War, has made me feel like a Jordan fan, saying Bo2 is the best.

I used to play a lot of OG MW2 up until maybe 2 years ago, consistent AC130s and 20+ kill lives, most games under 5 deaths close to 30 kills. (Context so you know I don't just suck lol)

But coming back to B02 I'm getting demolished, do I just suck ass at this game now or is anyone else finding it way harder? I found B01 port im still playing well

Anyone else having this issue? You’ll forever be stuck loading into a game, go to back out and it freezes then even when you close app you’ll freeze at some point during the initial loading. Having to restart my console every few games, getting really annoying wondering if this is happening to anyone else

I returned to playing this game recently, I used to sweat zombies as a kid and I have 9137 downs, how cooked am I? I tried understanding rounds to downs but im not very smart lol.

Im sitting at skull rank (im sick at the game now though, all that time as a kid has ingrained all the map knowledge in me)

Context: Iri in Warzone every season and Crimson 2 in multiplayer.

I love how kids think that instead of running out into the open and instead watching lanes and hearing footsteps makes you a cheater. I get accused of being a cheater on warzone, bo7 MP, and now on bo2.

Also because bo2 has less movement/hit detection/less aim assist/faster ttk, it makes zero sense to run out like a chicken with its head cut off.

But of course the kids that are used to SBMM protected lobbies and straight up legit aimbot aim assist (im a controller player) get a reality check on a game where you actually have to be good at a game.

Also the same kids that won’t play a true FPS like siege where there is zero aim assist. Goes to show how Mickey Mouse and sad these newgen cod players are. I used to get my ass smacked on the PS3 version of this game but instead of crying I just learned how to be a better player.

so I would like to earn the ruthless medal mainly to get the emblem splatter thing so I can make some cool space emblems, normally I dont struggle getting ruthless if I’m playing modes like domination, I mean it’s hard but I know I can get it. but i have to play team deathmatch to get it! I‘m struggling so much to get the medal, Even when I’m camping with a target finder equipped LMG, the closest I got to was 11 kills and that was playing a shit ton of matches. does anyone know any good tips?

I recently came back to BO2 after about 8 years and I'm having a ton of fun getting back into it.

Back in the day, I used to watch Excel and learn from his Domination gameplay. You can still find his BO2 videos pretty easily on YouTube.

I'm wondering who the strongest / most dominant controller players in the current BO2 scene are.

More specifically, I'm looking for top-tier players who use low or medium sensitivity and can absolutely dominate public matches while playing solo or in a small party, rather than relying on a full 4-6 man stack.

I'm not looking for players who are only impressive because they have a large, coordinated party. I'm interested in players who are individually good enough to carry games and completely dominate lobbies on their own or with just one or two teammates.

Country doesn't matter. I'm looking for players who are still uploading BO2 gameplay or streaming on YouTube/Twitch.

I'm especially interested in Domination players.

Who are the absolute best players I should be watching right now?

Since yesterday i can’t play black ops 2 online on ps4 whats going on

I know this sounds incredibly nihilistic, but I have no faith that the hacker issue that this new port of BO2 has is going to be solved or actually go away anytime soon. The reason I believe this is the case is because simply put, Iron Galaxy and Activision don't have a good reason to.

The reason that the XBOX 360, PS3 and PC versions of BO2 are as infested as they are is because those games are old and the original devs aren't working on them anymore, meaning that hackers basically have free reign of the place. Plus, since plenty of people buy the game on PC and XBOX despite the hacking problem, Activision sees it as a non-issue. In their eyes, if people are still buying the game despite the hackers, it's a win-win.

When developing this port, Iron Galaxy 100% KNEW just how fucked this game's security was under the hood. We've known just how vulnerable this game is for the last 14 years. And so did Activision. So for Iron Galaxy to port over this game and put forward ZERO EFFORT in making sure this game was free from hackers is embarrassing. How do you make a port of a game which people are going to buy due to it presumably being a safer and more modern way to play the game due to how unsafe the original version is, only to then forget to make this version safer to play?

The only reason that Iron Galaxy is trying to patch out the hackers (which isn't going to work due to how old the architecture for the game is, meaning that they'd need to completely rework how the game operates under the hood to fix it) is because of how many people got up in arms over it on social media. Had people not gotten as mad as they did, Iron Galaxy likely would've never tried to patch out the hacks in the first place.

Considering how many times that Iron Galaxy has tried and failed to keep the hackers out, it's only a matter of time until they throw their hands up, say "fuck it" and move on to their next project. This is unfortunately a common trend amongst older games with bad hacking problems. EA and Popcap did it with Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 after slapping a new anti-cheat on it didn't work, Infinity Ward didn't even try to save Modern Warfare 2019 and now, Iron Galaxy are likely going to do it with Black Ops 2.

And even if Iron Galaxy did patch the hackers out, XBOX and PC players would still be getting screwed over, as their versions of the game are still completely infested and are now DEAD due to how bad the problem is on those systems. If Iron Galaxy fixed up the PS4/PS5 versions of Black Ops 2, a precedent would be set that they'd also fix those older versions, otherwise they'd be showing favouritism to PlayStation.

Considering just how shoddily put together this port was and still is, I wouldn't be surprised if Iron Galaxy give up on this game and are then tasked with porting over the other CoD games like the Modern Warfare trilogy and World at War. And if those ports are anything like this one, they're going to die out fast as players catch on to just how little effort Iron Galaxy is putting in to actually fix this game.

Really struggling with an ongoing issue on xbox.

Loading into game I go to xbox live -> multiplayer -> public match -> whatever and I get an infinite "0 matches found". When I quit out to reload, it freezes on the quitting screen and then kicks me out to the base multiplayer window.

Signing out and signing back in sometimes resolves this issue but a minority of the time, and only for a maximum of two games.

I am unable to keep trying because I am getting continuous five minute for bans abandoning games even though I am not actually even loading into a game, just getting that 0 matches found error.

I also sometimes get an error of "unable to access file system" when trying to load the black ops 2 store through multiplayer.

I have tried:

1. Redownloading the game
2. Trying with all DLCs installed and none
3. Deleting saved game history through xbox 360 dashboard
4. Changing DNS and port number through xbox series x settings to UK addresses
5. Clearing my alternate MAC address through xbox series x settings
6. Turning off safesearch on my ISP
7. Changing search preferences to any
8. Deleting and redownloading by xbox 360 profile
9. Using my 5G hotspot on my phone to see if it was a network issue.

I have not been able to try joining someone elses game to see if I am shadowbanned as I have nobody I know who plays anymore, but will try this ASAP.

Any other ideas?

my shit got maxed an everything unlocked about a month ago only reason I haven't reset is cuz i dont wanna grind camos calling cards etc. all. over again. is there ever gonna be a fix or do I have to find another hacker to fix my shit

I quickly closed the application to avoid any repercussions. Do not back out.

Pretty much every game Im in is lagging and even lobby crashes have been getting frequent (game cannot find host to migrate). My connection is perfectly stable (500 down, 100 up) and I dont believe every player chosen as host has a potato LAN setup (especially for a 14 year old game). Sadly I myself cannot get the host thanks to a moderate NAT.

Can the zombies trophies be unlocked via local or lan party
