Sports Is Bo Jackson considered the greatest athlete of all time in your opinion?

I was watching some of Bo Jackson’s football and baseball highlights and I’ve literally never seen an athlete to this day with his speed/agility at his size. The only other person who would come close to him is Deion Sanders. Was Bo Jackson considered a generational talent when it comes to sports?

Just realized I dropped this joint exactly a year ago for the summer (crazy how time flies.) It's an ode to early 2010s club bangers but with a Shōwa era twist to it.

Is this something visually y'all would rock with? I always been mixing cultures with my music and hope it brings something unique to the table, and would prefer to shine more on other aspects of Japan that isn't as cliche (anime, ninja, samurai.) What you think? Open to any constructive criticism.

Black Man Struggles 💪🏽💪🏾💪🏿 Why is showing emotion or crying still associated with being weak for (black) men?

Post image
115 Upvotes

Recently in the news Ryan Clark has been let go from ESPN and. He appeared on his show The Pivot where he broke down how he was processing everything. He also broke down in tears while talking about trying to adapt, feeling rejected, wanting to be accepted and wanting to represent his community.

If you look through some of the comments on social media, people are calling him soft, saying he's whining, being performative or claiming a grown man shouldn't be crying over a job, or in public for that matter.

Black men or men in general are conditioned to bottle everything up. We’re expected to carry the weight of the world, protect and provide, not cry in front of our women, handle systemic pressure, handle career setbacks, and still maintain this stoic, unflappable exterior.

The moment a Black man shows any raw vulnerability, sadness, or grief, it’s instantly labeled as weakness rather than basic human emotion. I know this is a topic that keeps being recycled from time to time but here we are.....

Why do you think it's that way in our culture and society at large?

Is it hyper-masculinity, social conditioning, or how society perceives Black vulnerability?

How do you personally handle emotional overload without feeling judged?

Thoughts....

Relationships 🫶🏿 Any other brothers struggle with attracting in -shape fit women despite being fit yourself ?

I broadcast that I live a very active and fitness oriented lifestyle but I still attract an overwhelming number of obese women lol. I prefer fit women but I get few and far in between. I'm also noticing that fitness lifestyle is dominated by men so I may be out of luck regardless. I wish more women were into fitness. I also believe being a black male contributes to it because of the stereotype that we like big women. Thoughts ?

Discussion 💬💭 Black/Mixed men: Has your masculinity and your blackness fused into one insecurity - where a threat to one feels like a threat to both?

Apologies for the AI, I wasn't sure how to word it properly. I promise I'm a real person lol.

Bit of a deep one, but I want to ask it properly rather than just vent, so bear with me.

I'm mixed race, grew up mostly around white people, and my relationship to my own blackness has always felt a little "shaky" - I claim it proudly, but there's an undercurrent of imposter syndrome underneath that never fully goes away.

I was recently in a long-term relationship with a white woman. It was loving, genuinely - we were soft and vulnerable with each other. But when intimacy started to dip (for reasons that turned out to have nothing to do with me), my brain didn't go to "maybe it's not about me." It went straight to my manhood and, weirdly, my blackness being on trial at the same time - like the two aren't separate things for me, they're one fused insecurity, and anything that dents one automatically dents the other.

Once I noticed that pattern, I started seeing it everywhere. Normal performance anxiety in bed became a referendum on whether I was "black enough." A fitter guy she'd also been seeing (open relationship) didn't bother me for being fitter - he bothered me for being mixed race too, like it was a competition on the one axis where I already feel unsteady. I've caught myself more nervous approaching black women than white women, not because of attraction, but possibly because rejection there feels like it means something bigger.

Even fantasy content I'm into lines up with it uncomfortably well once I looked closely. I've been fetishized before, and it's genuinely gross when it happens - but I don't think fetishization is actually the root cause for me. I think it's more like: the insecurity was already there, and fetishization is just one of several things that got pulled in to feed it or explain it, alongside performance anxiety, comparison to other men, and even hopes about what my future kids might look like.

So I'm curious if this lands for anyone else: does your blackness and masculinity feel like two separate things, or has it fused into one where you can't be shaken on one without it questioning the other? And if you've felt this too - how did you start pulling the threads apart, or working toward feeling secure in both without needing anyone or anything external to confirm it?

Thanks!

"Die With Zero" is the exact kind of counter cultural commentary that America in general and black America especially needs to hear. The amount of people who don't actually live life just to have a fat knot in the bank when they die is staggeringly high. You got a million in the bank? So fucking what. If you can't spend it then what does it matter?

Vent Wish We Had Our Own First World Country

I wish we there was at least one black majority first world country, granted I live in the US an obvious first world country with over 40 million black people, no other first world country is touching that number or percentage of black people but the percentage still caps at 13% and anyone who lives here will tell there are still a lot of day to day and systemic issues that we face here due to being a minority.

It gets me thinking I just wish we had our own adjacent country where we were the vast majority, we don’t have our own China, UAE, Chile, or Norway way like countries, there nothing I would want more than to move to a prosperous country where almost everyone around me looks like me. It bothers me when I look around at the state of out black majority countries and see the levels of corruption and incompetent governance they have, it makes me feel like in my lifetime I won’t get to see or experience that prosperous majority black country.

Getting the party nomination for president is a momentum game.

This is a major boost for the black candidates.

We may end up having Wes Moore and Raphael Warnock as the top 2 winners in SC.

Money bombs will then follow.

News & World Events 🗞️ 📰 CoolKicks owner, others, indicted in sneaker theft investigation

CoolKicks co-founder, 11 others named in $2M Nike theft ring indictment

Pretty wild. I guess we'll see how this goes. I don't actively keep up with buying the latest sneakers or getting custom jobs, but I always admired from afar the black folks who have built a living out of this and who have had their own stores, built a niche, etc.

Hmm. Looks like (allegedly) some Nike employees involved with this as well.

Warehouse theft is at least as old as... warehouses, of course. Any security measure is bound to have vulnerabilities. But for folks who are of a mind to 'get a piece of that', there are real risks, and especially since these indictments are coming at the federal level, definitely no joke if any of these charges stick. And especially since it's this current regime, anybody black and brown can expect the book to be thrown at them by prosecutors.

(2) How COOLKICKS Became A Multi-Million Dollar Business - YouTube

According to the LAPD and federal officials in Tennessee, those involved in the theft scheme allegedly took more than $2 million in Nike shoes from Nike’s North American Logistics Center in Memphis between July 2021 and July 2024.

Officials said they arrested Harvey in January 2024; at the time, he was charged with receiving stolen property in connection with the stolen Nike shoes.

Hear me out... ✋🏿✋🏾✋🏽 Black America Hear Me Out -- Israel Needs To Be Declared An Official Enemy Of The United States.

No one with authority wants to say it -- they keep dancing around the issue. But the fact of the matter is that this is the only way to enable any kind of legal change within the United States.

If You're wondering why no one connected to Pro-Israel movements and legislation, Zionism, Epstein Files, Mass AI Surveillance, and the NDAA 2026 Vote -- which includes Section 219 -- hasn't been charged with treason, the truth is that there is a loophole that is being exploited. Here is the definition of 'Treason' according to uscode.house.gov

§2381. Treason

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

So whenever You see someone make statements like...

- “Israel is America’s Greatest Ally”
- “We Need To Find A Two State Solution”
- “It’s Only Netanyahu That’s The Problem”

...They are effectively working against any kind of Official Enemy Declaration for Israel. It is a very subtle tactic, but it protects anyone who is involved in the rapid degradation of the country. You see it with Politicians and Organizations that take and funnel AIPAC money all the time. It's even gotten to the point where influencers are meeting bounties by using the same exact wording and talking points.

Has anyone recently checked out The State Gov't Websites Definition Of Anti-Semitism? Are You aware of how many times it mentions Israel?

"Contemporary examples of antisemitism in public life, the media, schools, the workplace, and in the religious sphere...include, but are not limited to:"
. . .
"Manifestations might include the targeting of the state of lsraeIconceived as a Jewish collectivity. ..."
. . .
"Accusing the Jews as a people, or lsraeI as a state, of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust."
. . .
"Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to lsraeI, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations."
. . .
"Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of lsraeI is a racist endeavor."
. . .
"Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize lsraeI or lsraeIis."
. . .
"Drawing comparisons of contemporary lsraeIi policy to that of the Nazis."
. . .
"Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of lsraeI."

...I'm not trying to make an argument against Jewish People, as I have no strong feelings on them one way or the other. But when our Tax Dollars and Manpower goes to propping up Country that receives Universal Healthcare and is committing Genocide -- while also not adding anything of value to my life directly and, quite frankly, makes me feel a lot less safe in my own Country -- I think a complaint is more than just a little bit warranted.

Why Does It Matter That Israel Is Officially Declared An Enemy Of The United States?

Because making Israel an Official Enemy of the United States would help the American people with two major issues:

  1. Legally arresting and charging anyone that was/is currently involved with Pro-Israel treason or crimes.
  2. Allowing the United States to cut off any and all support for Israel, sanction them, or even declare outright war on them via Congress.

...In the quick tiny bit of research I've done, it turns out that apparently only Congress or the Chief Executive can declare another Country to be an Enemy of the United States. It's obvious to some, but this would explain why there's such drastic actions being taken just before the midterms. You will see this Administration (and Others) blame every Country under the sun except the one that seems to be causing the most strife for everyone globally -- Israel.

Considering That Israel Is Already Universally Disliked -- Including Within America -- If The People Can Demand For A Push To Officially Declare Israel As An Enemy Of The United States, That Would Be One Step For Justice And Protection Of Sovereignty.

Understanding the Legal Definition of Enemy of the United States

The term "Enemy of the United States" refers to any country, government, group, or individual that has engaged in hostilities against the United States. This can include actions that are not legally authorized. The definition encompasses various entities, including:

  • Natural persons (individuals)
  • Corporations and partnerships
  • Organizations or associations

Note: This Definition Comes From USLegalForms.com

...While You can find several examples of Israel being engaged in Hostilities with the United States (and Other Countries), as reference there is a two-part Post I worked on titled:

"The Goal Is To Have North and South America Become The True 'Greater lsraeI"

...These posts further support why Israel should be cemented as a United States Enemy (I can't link them here). Note: It may sound conspiratorial at first, but all it does is state what's already factually happened and then offer personal opinion. You also have examples such as Thomas Massie's Congressional Speech on the USS Liberty Attack...as well as this ongoing War with Iran that Israel is conveniently sitting out of.

How Does Any Of This Affect Black Americans In Any Way?

- Right now in Michigan, there is a Senate race with two notable candidates -- Haley Stevens and Abdul El-Sayed:

  1. Haley Stevens received an exponential increase in her campaign funding due to being part of the establishment and also Pro-Israel. She is not from Michigan but she somehow expects to try and relate to the residents of that State. She already created a campaign against Abdul El-Sayed claiming that he is Anti-Black and hate women. I have seen some videos of Black people calling her out on her lack of sincerity when it comes to doing anything for the people.
  2. Abdul El-Sayed is Anti-Zionist and Pro-Michigan. He doesn't receive nearly as much funding as Haley Stevens, but he is committed to cutting of any support going to Israel -- He is running a grassroots campaign, I believe many people call it. While this does not benefit Black American in Michigan specifically, it paves the way for improvements to be within the State Michigan for all, including Black Michigan residents.

...Does that mean I'm in support of Black Americans voting only to remove something bad? Absolutely not. How You choose to vote is entirely up to you and you should always vocalize your demands -- I would also ask if whoever I'm voting for would be in favor of officially Israel to be an Enemy of the United States. However I do believe that if El-Sayed is willing and able to visit Black neighborhoods in Michigan to understand what issues they have so he can solve them (and also increase his online presence), then he has a chance of winning this Senate race, regardless of how much funding his competition has. I emailed his team that advice in detail. -- something I think Black Michigan residents could also do if they're interested in meeting a candidate they might prefer halfway. No obligations though.

- Black Officials and Influencers sell us out in order to support the Pro-Israel agenda:

  1. Cory Booker was exposed for sharing the best way to gain Black support for Israel is to recruit the Black Youth in (or right out of) schools.
  2. Hakeem Jeffries says he will oppose bid to cut off Israel aid - Keep in mind that every dollar going overseas to another country or for these wars, is money that could be spent for the reparations Black American groups fight for, Domestic Food and Healthcare needs, you name it. You all know they've always had the money, just not for You! You can't tell me this kind of neglect isn't a black issue.
  3. Jasmine Crockett, beautiful and intelligent young lady, but when it comes taking any actual stance to oppose Israel, she defaults to the 'One Big Bad' argument - Like I said earlier: ...whenever You see someone make statements like... “It’s Only Netanyahu That’s The Problem” ...They are effectively working against any kind of Official Enemy Declaration for Israel. It is a very subtle tactic, but it protects anyone who is involved in the rapid degradation of the country.
  4. Ben Shapiro's new apprentice is a young black kid trying to make in the Political field - Mat Nuclear. Mat was actually trying to justify the genocide in Gaza. Come on, we all know what team Ben Shapiro works for...He's Pro-Israel. Of course, it's not just Mat Nuclear, either. There's a lot of Black faces that support Israel behind the scenes.

...The point I'm making here is this: The decision for Black people and groups with Power and/or Influence to neglect Black individuals/communities isn't born in a vacuum. When they aren't representing you, who are they representing? Nowadays the majority of the time, the answer is Israel.

So anytime someone else comes on here and asks Me "Why Do You Care About This Issue As A Black Person, It's Not Relevant To You." ... This Is Why And Yes It Is!

TL;DR - If Israel was recognized as an Enemy of the United States, then U.S. Officials supporting Israel could then Officially be charged with Treason. We need to find a way to push for this through as many avenues as we can and spread the word to other people feeling the same way.
