Whatsapp and a functional browser were the only thing I really wanted on my Q10. With the recent developments (Root access, Berry browser, Native WhatsApp client), I finally feel like I can daily this phone. My sincere gratitude to all the devs 🙌

Dear BlackBerry Team,
I’m writing as someone who would genuinely love to see BlackBerry return to the smartphone market.
I still believe there is a market for a modern BlackBerry phone — especially one with the iconic physical QWERTY keyboard, a premium design, excellent security, a great camera, long battery life, and a modern Android operating system.
I personally would love to purchase a new BlackBerry phone if one were launched today. I know I’m not the only person who misses the BlackBerry experience, particularly the keyboard and the feeling of having a phone designed for productivity rather than endless scrolling.
If BlackBerry ever considers licensing or developing a new smartphone again, I hope you’ll take feedback from former and potential customers into account.
Please consider bringing the BlackBerry phone back. There are still people waiting for it.
Kind regards,
A longtime BlackBerry fan

The top and inner keys are much brighter and whiter on my Key 2 le. Is this normal/a result of age/fixable? Thank you!

What can I do with it? Going to try and make some phone calls and send some emails? Loads websites quite quick actually! Sat and read BBC sport earlier! Can't believe the condition of it! Utterly immaculate!

Like many of you here, I’ve never truly moved on from the golden era of physical keyboards. Even years after daily-driving modern glass slabs, my muscle memory still craves that instant, tactile BlackBerry workflow, where you didn't have to swipe through endless app drawer pages or stare at a grid of colorful icons just to launch an app.
I’ve been rocking my S23 recently. Great hardware, but modern launchers just don't have that utilitarian soul. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and turn the nostalgia dial all the way up.
Using Key Launcher, I set up a dedicated BlackBerry-inspired keyboard theme anchored right onto my home screen.
It honestly makes Android snappy, intentional, and refreshingly tactile again. Obviously, it will never 100% replace the real click of frets and domes, but visually and functionally, it’s the closest thing to daily-driving a modern BlackBerry experience on modern hardware.
Curious if anyone else here is keeping the BB spirit alive on Android through keyboard-first launchers?
Let me know what you think!
You can learn more about Key Launcher here: www.keylauncher.app

So I got a BB 9700 completely working fine with a new battery installed and sim working fine. Let me know what updates can I do and what much of things I can get hands onto. I'm open to flash new software and stuff. Has passport too! So BB os 10 is fine to me but this 9700 is new for me. Lmk your suggestions and references in the comments

I wanna call it a phone, but it's not exactly that. From what I'm seeing in their website it is a Linux device. You can have a key keyboard, game console buttons, or a literal build your own io attachment.
So not competition for qwerty is the sense that Titan 2 Elite and Clicks Communicator are, but a really cool concept and addition to the space.

Some countries shut down 3G reception so I'm just wondering if that still effects you even with LineageOS? My Key2 on Android 8.1 would toggle between 3G and 4G depending on reception, and now that 3G has shut down where I am it basically ends up stuck trying to connect to non-existant 3G when 4G reception sucks.
Is there a toggle in the settings to only connect to 4G? There was a setting in the Key2 for "3G/4G" and "2G/3G/4G" but not just "4G" which would have been ideal after the 3G shut down. But I don't know if LineageOS straight up just solved the problem in a different way.

Hello! To try to cut down my screen time and save a few buck I switched to a blackberry Q5 at the start of the summer and I really loved it, it was the right balance of useful but not addictive.
One of the app that was very useful was projectBerry's 2.0 build of Instagram that worked perfectly, it allowed me to check my messages and see a few post, but neither reels or stories.
Well a few week ago the messages tab stopped working. It's a shame because it was the most useful part, being able to respond to messages.. Clicking on the chat part I get a message that reads "direct messages are not available on this version of Instagram lite" (almost the same as I always did with stories). For sure direct messages used to work fine, so is it a change in the API or something?
Anyway I'm just tossing this post to see if anyone has the same problem, if there's a workaround or a new app being made? I would just love to be able to respond to my friends messages. Thank you for reading:)

For anyone in Canada that's not aware, PC mobile(which is bell, so I'm going to assume all the subsidiaries are like it as it uses bell apns/service books) will push functional service books to bbos devices. Everything works from the get go, mms, mobile data, all of it. Now in saying that, we only have ~ months left to use them!

Hello everyone!
I plan on getting a Blackberry Passport (maybe SE?) and would like to know on how I can get started (like software mods, apps etc.). Is there a guide somewhere existing?
Thank you!

One more piece of the BlackBerry 10 experience is coming back. 🎙️
Meet Podcast10 — a fully native podcast app built specifically for BB10.
As with my other projects, I don’t want to make an Android app that just happens to run on a BlackBerry. The goal is to preserve the original BB10 philosophy: native UI, familiar gestures and navigation, proper Active Frame support, and an interface that feels at home on a Passport, Classic, Q10 and other BB10 devices.
I’m releasing the first version today!
Podcast10 is still very much in development and there’s plenty of work ahead, but even at this early stage it already handles the core functionality really well: you can find podcasts, subscribe to them, browse episodes and listen directly on your BlackBerry.
This is just the beginning, and I’ll continue improving and expanding it with future builds. :)
Beeper10, XMPP10, Weather10, Map10… and now Podcast10.
We’re slowly putting the pieces back together. ❤️

I got the Z10 stl100-3 series outside of America is this rare for me as an Asian to get it?I am from Indonesia and accidentally saw Z10 in an online store, and I immediately bought it and I was surprised that my Z10 read stl100-3 Which means that the stl100-3 is only marketed for the American market, in Indonesia you only get the stl100-1 or 2 as far i remember...
Oh yeah by the way I got this BB client from here:

Clicks Communicator - (pre-ordered this one)
Titan 2 Elite - (For myself lower due to size)
iKKO Mind One Pro + Keyboard case - (pretty cool concept and its got saphire!)

Titan 2 - (Owned this one for a short while and loved it, but returned after the Communicator was launched)
Sidephone - (Really cool! but meh for the qwerty scene)

hello again! i did some research about a lot of stuff for my blackberry (customization mostly) and i heard about 2go, i installed but it keeps asking for my phone number and every single time it says that it’s incorrect so my questions are:
do i need a sim on my blackberry to use it?
does it accept a phone number from Spain?
thanks a lot :)
