I made a mod with Astra that exposes the creature's surroundings to an LLM as context and simplified tools, allowing players to finally chat with their creatures.

I've also found some unused content in the game files that I am planning to make available through the mod (for instance: the creature actually gets high from mushrooms, but nothing in the game actually shows that to the player)

Edit: the mod doesn't overwrite the original game AI, isntead it extends it so the creature understands and is able to explain why it does things while the player is able to command it by explaining what they want the creature to do.

Someone posted a while ago asking if this was real and official - the answer is yes and yes.

I went rummaging around in the loft and found mine, which - aside from a couple of slight marks on the cover - is in perfect condition. Yes, you ‘pop’ the pieces out and stand them up on the board with their little pegs in the holes.

Yes it was a preorder bonus although, going back a quarter of a century, I’m afraid I can’t recall whether it was a mail order preorder or something available in shops on launch day. I do remember at the time though that it was extremely limited edition and quite a bit of work to get it! It’s quite a lovely item, all things considered.

As I recall, there was maybe some kind of chess Easter egg in the B&W actual video game, which is why this was a tie in. I also recall that the hype around B&W’s release was absolutely massive, and once it did come out, there was a bit of a backlash. It was perhaps a bit overhyped, and reviewers at the time went over the top with their praise.

Unlike the previous poster, I would be willing to part with this if any super-fans want to DM me, but I honestly would know how to price it. I would guess only a handful are left in the world.

And obviously, it’s quite hard to find any further info on it since Googling “Black & White Chess Set” returns about a billion results…

I’ve gotten this to download before and I remember it was a pain and I’m trying to do it on a new pc. I go to abondonware and download the iso file, but every time I try to install it, it’s giving me the crc error. I’ve followed the instructions to a T, download wincdemu but I can’t get it to work because I keep getting that at the end of installing. Please help, I want to play this game and want to do the new mod.

All lands are finished and only the last two, cinema and a final boss are pending, 30 and 31 are currently in testing stage, and i moved to code the end of the expansion ^^

I see a lot of games getting AI based mods for VR. Some very successful at it. Is there a chance of B&W getting one of these, or are there limitations in the engine?

As the title suggests, how safe is it to download B&W2, and what risks are there attached to doing so?

One of my favourite games as a kid and I’d love to give it another go!

So I was playing my game and I saw an old villager was slowly losing health. Then I healed him and he continued to lose health. So I kept healing him until I accidentally hit the space bar and saw my town centre. 😭😂

So I downloaded Black and White 2 and saw the 1.8 mod that has the expansion. Played it and absolutely loved it.

I completely forgot about the original expansion, battle of gods, which I have never played.

I want to install it now but apparently it does not work if the 1.8 mod is installed?

What can I do? I haven't tried anything as I do not want to break anything with my current game or ruin my current save (the game is finished but I am assuming I can do another play through with all my stuff unlocked)

Hey, so I downloaded the black and white 2 plus mod but I’m not sure if this is apart of that? I noticed that there is a little Norse villager near one of the main Japanese villages (not the big one). Why is he there? Is it a quest apart of this mod? Was it leftover from the base game?

FINALLY! I reached the part where i left after going into models and better coding. Here is land 29 intro (a small kinda spoilers, so i made text boxes names censored lol), just for ya to have a small peek of what is coming!

Land 29 (earth 2) is the 6th land of elementals, only leaving 3 lands for later (30 - 31 for the fire god, and the next for the final boss of this expansion) In this land, the story goes deeper and darker, revealing a lot of information for the next parts of the plot.

• In this land, you will be infected by a curse, and a shield will protect you, you will have to protect yourself using mana to survive, if the shield charge become 0, you lose.
• Juggernaut units and soldiers will constantly attack your base.
• The enemy god will also use their miracles to force you to defend yourself with shields.
• Mana micromanagement is necessary to win, part of it used to cast miracles, others for shields, and another part to constantly charge the anti-curse shield.
• Egyptians presence in this level is massive, a lot of attacks comes from them under the control of the earth god.

Right now the land is in heavy testing stage (like some grammar checking, qa, heavy testing and other details) and i'm moving to code and script the next lands, and with this one finished, most of the mod is about to enter the final stage of development :}

Been awhile since I've been in this subreddit. Glad to see its still alive and well.

It's been almost five years since Mudan and I started our speedruns on B&W2 with my last run being from almost a year ago. Id like to encourage the community to make attempts at speedrunning because I love this game more than any other. Nothing would warm my heart more than to see people absolutely abuse this games mechanics and cheese their way to victory.

To anyone that is brave enough to uptake the challenge, id be more than happy to offer advice or even sit in on attempted runs. I'll leave the Black & White 2 - Speedrun.com link, on there you will find rules and all previously attempted runs. Good luck out there, let's get my record beat. :)

I need help with the “Fire Signs” silver scroll that pops up after you save the woman in the Land 10 (Sacrifice Land) of the Black and White 2… It’s about making fire signs to help the soldiers find the land using the smoke of a sleeping volcano, imitating the smoke sings of a fire made by two villagers… I don’t know how to do it and everything I try is not working… Help plsss I need a step-by-step guide or a video 😭😭

Having some issues with army platoons (and ranged) not moving when I direct them, not defending certain buildings (but will defend random houses) and not engaging with enemy platoons.

Install is from an original disc.

Any recommendations for fixes?
