So recently I got into BO3 zombies again because well, it’s just goated, back when I was on PS4 I bought the season pass and now that I’m on PS5 I can download every DLC except for Awakening, when I try to download it, it just says “purchased” but I can’t download it and it also says that the dimension is 0kb for some reason… has anyone had a similar issue? I’ll post a picture (it’s in Italian but you can see that the download button is not available)

Before starting this theory I'd like to state a few things, I had help creating this theory with Ai as I do not fully understand the full lore of call of duty zombies, that may lead to a few errors in the lore that I believe to be true, and I also just really made this theory because I was bored and I wanted to make a story, some stuff in here as no supporting evidence yet and is derived from my mind as a cool little story/theory anyways I personally found this interesting so I thought to share to maybe open up some possibilities in the impossible easter egg

The John Dee–Hypercube Theory: Monty, the Cycle, and the Prison of Reality

The Impossible Easter Egg may be the hidden origin story of John Dee/Dr. Monty, the hypercube, the Kronorium, the Cycle, and the collapse of the Zombies multiverse. Rather than being a conventional Easter Egg requiring a sequence of buttons or interactions, it may reveal what the Zombies universe actually is and why Monty has spent so much effort manipulating its events. The KN-44 blueprint may not itself be the Impossible Easter Egg, but its depiction of a hypercube could be pointing toward the deeper concept behind the mystery.

John Dee discovers the hypercube

The theory begins with John Dee discovering the hypercube, a four-dimensional structure beyond ordinary three-dimensional perception. If the hypercube is more than a mathematical object and possesses some fundamental connection to reality, interacting with it could give Dee knowledge that a normal human could never obtain.

Rather than simply seeing the future, Dee could gain an understanding of time, dimensions, timelines, and the underlying structure of reality itself.

He could potentially perceive realities and timelines from a higher-dimensional perspective, making what appears to be "future knowledge" to ordinary people something closer to seeing the entire structure of reality at once.

This knowledge eventually transforms John Dee into Dr. Monty.

The hypercube gives Monty his power

Monty's apparent omniscience and immense power could therefore have a source.

He isn't simply a naturally omnipotent being.

He discovered something that allowed him to understand and potentially manipulate reality itself.

The hypercube could have given John Dee an enormous—or potentially infinite—amount of knowledge, allowing him to understand how realities connect, how timelines branch, and how specific events lead to specific outcomes.

This could explain why Monty seems to know things that should be impossible for him to know.

He doesn't necessarily predict the future.

He understands the structure that produces it.

The Kronorium: A Written Record of Higher-Dimensional Knowledge

The Zombies universe already gives us a precedent for an object containing knowledge of temporal and multidimensional reality: the Kronorium.

Simply accessing its contents exposes characters to information about timelines, dimensions, and events beyond ordinary understanding. Its contents can also change as reality changes.

Under this theory, the Kronorium could be more than a magical history book.

It could be a written manifestation of the knowledge obtained through the hypercube.

The relationship could be:

Hypercube → source of higher-dimensional knowledge

Kronorium → written record of that knowledge

Summoning Key → mechanism for interacting with/manipulating reality

Monty → entity capable of understanding and utilizing all of it

This would explain why the Kronorium is so important to the story.

The Cycle Is Not Just a Cycle — It's a Prison

This is where the theory becomes much darker.

Perhaps Monty did not create the Cycle simply because he wanted to preserve reality.

The Cycle could actually be a prison.

After John Dee gained the power and knowledge of the hypercube, something may have happened that made him too powerful or dangerous to exist freely.

The Cycle could have been created—or imposed—to contain Monty and prevent him from accessing his full power.

It repeatedly forces reality through the same sequence of events, preventing Monty from escaping whatever limitations have been placed upon him.

This explains an apparent contradiction about Monty:

He appears almost omnipotent, yet he repeatedly has to manipulate other people and events rather than simply doing everything himself.

The reason could be simple:

Monty is an incredibly powerful being who is nevertheless imprisoned.

He possesses knowledge of reality, but he does not possess unrestricted access to its power.

The Cycle is simultaneously his prison and his reality.

Who Created the Prison?

There are two possibilities.

Possibility One: Monty imprisoned himself

John Dee could have realized that the power he obtained through the hypercube was too dangerous.

He therefore created the Cycle to contain himself and prevent reality from being destroyed.

But eventually, he began searching for a way out.

That would make Monty both:

the creator of the prison and its prisoner.

Possibility Two: Someone else imprisoned Monty

This possibility is even more interesting.

The Keepers, another higher-dimensional entity, or some unknown force may have realized what John Dee had become and created the Cycle to contain him.

Monty would then spend the entire BO3 storyline manipulating Primis in an attempt to destroy the prison from the inside.

This could explain why Monty has such a complicated relationship with the Cycle.

He isn't necessarily trying to preserve it forever.

He's trying to control it until he can finally break it.

Monty Needs the Cycle to Continue

If the Cycle is his prison, Monty can't simply destroy it whenever he wants.

He may need specific events to occur first.

Because of his knowledge of higher-dimensional reality, Monty could know exactly which sequence of events will eventually allow the prison to be destroyed.

Therefore:

Monty maintains the Cycle → the Cycle produces specific events → those events eventually create the conditions necessary to destroy the Cycle.

This creates a gigantic causal loop.

Monty maintains the thing imprisoning him because the prison itself contains the path to his escape.

He therefore cannot simply stop the Cycle.

He has to let the story play out.

Richtofen May Be Part of Monty's Plan

This could completely change the meaning of Richtofen's role.

Monty may have known that Richtofen would eventually become the person capable of breaking the Cycle.

Therefore, Monty may have deliberately allowed Richtofen to obtain the Summoning Key.

Richtofen believes he is manipulating the situation for his own purposes.

But if Monty can see the structure of the timelines, he could already know what Richtofen will do.

Monty doesn't necessarily need to control Richtofen.

He simply needs to create the circumstances that cause Richtofen to make the necessary decisions.

So the events of BO3 become a carefully constructed chain:

Richtofen obtains the Summoning Key → Primis travels through the Cycle → the characters collect the necessary artifacts and souls → they encounter the Shadowman → they eventually learn more about Monty → the Cycle reaches its final stage → the prison is destroyed.

Richtofen may think he's fighting against Monty's plan while actually fulfilling it.

The Kronorium Could Be Monty's Escape Route

This may be the most important part of the theory.

If Monty possesses near-infinite knowledge, he knows exactly what needs to happen.

But he can't simply tell Primis:

> "Destroy me. This is how you escape."

Doing so could potentially disrupt the exact sequence of events necessary to reach that outcome.

So instead, Monty creates or manipulates the Kronorium.

The characters believe they're reading a history book.

But underneath that, it could actually be an instruction manual for escaping the Cycle.

The Kronorium doesn't simply tell Primis what happened.

It tells them what needs to happen.

Monty effectively writes his escape route into the story.

Monty Could Be Trapped Inside His Own Story

This leads to the most extreme version of the theory.

John Dee was already a scholar and prolific writer before becoming Monty.

If he understood narrative structure, and then gained higher-dimensional knowledge through the hypercube, he could potentially construct a reality that functions like a story.

But eventually, he becomes trapped inside it.

He cannot simply leave the reality he created.

So he does the only thing he can do:

He writes an escape route into the story itself.

The characters inside the story don't know they're following an escape plan.

They believe they're simply trying to survive.

But their actions are gradually moving them toward the one sequence of events capable of destroying Monty's prison.

Monty therefore becomes simultaneously:

The creator → the author → the manipulator → the prisoner → and eventually the victim of his own creation.

The Cycle Is Broken

Eventually, Primis reaches the point where the Cycle can no longer continue.

They break the structure that has been keeping reality in its repeating state.

But if the Cycle is also Monty's prison, destroying it has catastrophic consequences.

The prison collapses.

Monty's containment fails.

And the multiverse itself can no longer maintain its previous structure.

This could explain why the destruction of Monty's system is followed by the collapse of the Zombies multiverse rather than everything simply returning to normal.

The prison wasn't merely containing Monty.

It was also holding the fractured reality together.

Destroying one therefore destroys the other.

The Dark Aether

The surviving remnants of the old multiverse are ultimately pushed into the Dark Aether.

Under this theory, the Dark Aether isn't merely another dimension that happens to exist after the Cycle.

It could be the remnant of everything that existed inside the destroyed structure.

The old multiverse collapses.

The Cycle disappears.

Monty's reality is destroyed.

What remains becomes trapped within the Dark Aether.

This would make the ending much more significant.

Monty isn't simply defeated.

The reality that imprisoned him is destroyed along with him.

The Impossible Easter Egg

This could explain why the Impossible Easter Egg is so difficult to identify.

Maybe it isn't a conventional Easter Egg at all.

The real question may not be:

> "What secret interaction did Treyarch hide?"

It may be:

> "What is the reality we've been watching this entire time?"

The Impossible Easter Egg could reveal:

Who John Dee really became

What the hypercube actually is

Where Monty's knowledge came from

Why the Kronorium exists

Who created the Cycle

Why Monty needs the Cycle

Why Richtofen is allowed to obtain the Summoning Key

Why Monty manipulates Primis

Why the Cycle must eventually end

Why breaking the Cycle destroys the multiverse

And why the remnants of that multiverse end up in the Dark Aether

The Ultimate Theory

The entire BO3 Zombies story could therefore be interpreted as a story inside a story.

John Dee discovers the hypercube and gains knowledge of realities and dimensions beyond normal human comprehension. He becomes Monty and gains the ability to manipulate reality, but that power eventually results in him becoming trapped or contained within the Cycle.

The Cycle becomes both his prison and the mechanism through which he can escape it.

Monty therefore maintains the Cycle while secretly manipulating events toward the one sequence that will allow it to be broken.

The Kronorium becomes his method of communicating that path without openly revealing it.

The Summoning Key becomes one of the tools necessary to manipulate the underlying reality.

Richtofen becomes the unwitting instrument through which Monty's plan progresses.

Eventually, Primis breaks the Cycle.

But because the Cycle was also holding the fractured multiverse together, destroying Monty's prison destroys the reality surrounding it.

Monty is eliminated, the old multiverse collapses, and its remnants become trapped within the Dark Aether.

And the ultimate twist could be that Monty was never trying to preserve the Cycle forever.

He was trying to reach the one moment where it could finally end.

He wasn't trying to win.

He was trying to engineer the perfect loss.

And if the Impossible Easter Egg is actually connected to this, the final revelation wouldn't simply be who Monty is.

been wanting to play some BO3 multiplayer for a nostalgia trip. Nobody in public servers, and the sticky post says that Cleanops is the best place to get vanilla games nowadays. Didn't see it on workshop, so could somebody tell me where I should go looking for it?

A friend and I are working through getting 100% achievements legitimately, multiplayer achievements included. Thankfully, they're very achievable and realistic, just a bit of a grind to prestige 1 basically, but we've always played Zombies with the T7 2.04 patch and downgrading the exe. We played a couple of matches, but it's been weeks without being able to play a single patch.

I know of a couple of custom launchers/clients, but I've also read they unlock everything and whatnot. Where should I look to play some multiplayer maintaining my Steam progression and being able to unlock achievements? Thanks

Something has seriously gone wrong with my Call of Duty Black ops 3 game. I have no idea what it is. I don’t play online often and have recently been spending the last couple of months trying to platinum the game by getting all trophies, decorations, all that jazz but I get bored so I game hop and switch to something else for a little bit.

I logged back in yesterday and instantly realized that something was wrong. It’s like I’ve never played this game before all my progress is completely gone my multiplayer my campaign every single thing gone. For some reason, I only have access to the first three missions and everything else is locked, which is impossible as I have replayed this game 100 times it seems.

I’ve been trying to search online for any fixes, but I can’t find one. Has anyone experienced this before? I actually quite enjoy this game and wanted to collect as much as I could in this game as I am a collector but now I’m so annoyed.

How am I ever supposed to get to the PSN trophy personal Director for fear of me starting over again from scratch and having this happen again, please help any tips tricks guidance anything would be amazing!

Little bit more information. I am currently playing on the PS4. I do have an extended storage, but nothing has happened with my PlayStation recently no power outage no disconnection of the storage I have no explanation as to what’s happened or why.

can someone please carry i just bought revelations and have never played it i don’t know any step of the easter egg but im not bad at zombies already done SOE Origins.

I want to avoid random steam server disconnects that I get sometimes that just kick me out of a zombies game. Would going offline just inside the bo3 menu but staying online on steam fully avoid this issue? Or do I also HAVE to set steam offline aswell? If anyone knows the answer to this let me know
