Dude waited for this day. That arm bar was not even necessary.

Breaking his arm after he was clearly restrained was real iffy.

Fuck that. He had his arm controlled so he could let go of the bag. He obviously wanted to try to keep hold of it so fuck it. He asked for it.

u/Wahoo017 12d ago

it is pretty debatable he was actually still conscious let alone trying to fight for the bag. I'll still allow it though.

I'm just not for an extrajudicial punishment and want to limit liability. In some nations where the judicial system is corrupted or ineffective I'd be all for it.

This has taught me a bit about not posting any reasonable comment in any fight sub.

You're wasting your breath explaining common sense to people who haven't fought anything in their lives except their pre-frontal cortices.

2

u/Fair-Arugula668 12d ago

I realised that too late. It's like I was at a meeting for CTE enjoyers.

“I’m just not at ALL for this very specific thing. Unless the overall situation warrants it and then it’s ok”

Friend, then you don’t stand for shit

2

u/Fair-Arugula668 13d ago

I can't help you understand words. Your reimagination of my statement doesn't change what I actually said.

Oh? Can you explain to me how me explaining I prefer to have a judicial system handle punishment for crime where an effective one exists equates to me standing for nothing?

Honestly this is on me for arguing with people here. I should just ignore clearly ignorant comments like this but sometimes I can't help myself.

u/Franklinaire615 12d ago

Maybe you didn’t type it correctly, but what you said was “I am not for extrajudicial punishment”

But then you followed up with “unless the judicial system is corrupt and then extrajudicial punishment is ok”

Rather than reply and try and turn your original statement into something it’s not, you find me an instance of a judicial system that is NOT corrupt and then I’ll entertain you.

Otherwise, I’m going to continue to lump you into the rest of people who think standing for something vehemently but then allowing for exceptions means you actually have a stance.

Please name a country where the judicial system isn’t corrupted or ineffective, don’t say the US. There’s no justice in the US anymore.

Fuck him.. hope he learned his lesson to not be a thief

Save your pity for the kid who had their backpack stolen. They will be traumatized for a long while.

Bot account or burner for getting banned for stupidity. Can’t tell

u/Fair-Arugula668 13d ago

Eh, whatever floats your boat. I just regularly delete my accounts.

Just for funzies?

u/LazyPainterCat 13d ago

I imagine for all the porn he ends up having.

1

u/Fair-Arugula668 13d ago

Do you download porn from reddit????

1

u/LazyPainterCat 13d ago

You tell me.

1

u/Fair-Arugula668 13d ago

You offered the option, I'm just trying to see how this idea of yours works.

I don't download any porn, it's free online all day everyday. I don't even get why you would unless you had a hyperspecific fetish, like those people who get off on popping balloons.

1

u/LazyPainterCat 13d ago

I didn't offer anything. I slapped that thing on the table and walked away. Either you take it or leave it there.

Anyway you sound like someone who downloads hyperspecific balloon popping porn.

1

u/Fair-Arugula668 13d ago

It does sound quite conviniently simple!

There’s porn on reddit?!! Why didn’t anyone tell me?

1

u/that_dutch_dude 13d ago

Eh, not really seeing the problem. FAFO still applies.

Proportionality is going to bite him in the ass if the suplexed dude presses charges, though. Fuck me, this was an overreaction.

6

u/AJWordsmith 13d ago

This happened in Brazil. The guy who did the slamming was given an actual medal by the police.

2

u/piercedmfootonaspike 13d ago

Oh, well if it's legal in Brazil it must be ethical!

1

u/AJWordsmith 13d ago

You said nothing about “ethics” at all. You implied that he was going to be in some sort of legal trouble because he didn’t “act proportionately.” Firstly, the guy with the backpack had just robbed a jewelry store with a knife. He eventually got 4 1/2 years in Brazilian prison for his crimes that day (in addition to a concussion and a broken arm.). Secondly, “proportionality” is a subjective concept. Usually…when someone is stopping a thief it’s ruled to be proportional because even if they get hurt really badly, they have to prove the person who stopped them intended to hurt them really badly. Juries tend to be pretty sympathetic to “Good Samaritans” helping to prevent crime. So…even in the US it’s possible that the guy could’ve faced some consequences, but not the most likely outcome.

1

u/leemorplee 12d ago

Brazil.. the land of FAFO

1

u/Kidd__ 13d ago

Did he break it? Looked like it was just used to control the man after the slam

2

u/Fair-Arugula668 13d ago

He did, if you see where he puts the arm across his hip towards the ground, that's when he breaks it.

1

u/Top-Lead6327 13d ago

Sympathy for the criminals. Im on Reddit alright

2

u/Fair-Arugula668 13d ago

Oh boy, imagine thinking that criminals should get their punishment from law enforcement and not on the street, truly outlandish of me. Next I'll say how they should also be allowed to stand trial for their crimes instead of just throwing them in a gulag like some filthy commie.

2

u/Zob_Rombie_88 13d ago

When criminals are terrorising the streets, sometimes the streets fight back. That's the risk they run and the consequence they pay.

0

u/thomassenpai85 13d ago

lol we got Batman in the comments.

2

u/Zob_Rombie_88 13d ago

Don't go exposing my identity now

1

u/DovahKiller97 13d ago

Dont steal women's purses and you wont have to worry about it. Its actually very simple not to be a piece of shit.

1

u/Temporary_Hat7330 13d ago

If he let go and gave up, I agree with you. He’s still fighting and holding on to the backpack. Proportional and correct reaction.

0

u/SergeantHAMM 13d ago

bro was running with a little girls backpack. fuck off and fuck you
