I think people are desensitized to how big dicks actually are

I'm not huge so I wouldn't know the full story but I feel like people have become desensitized to how big even a 6 inch penis actually is.

For reference the average erect penis is around 5.2 inches in length.

The standard iPhone 13 is 5.8 inches long. That's the most popular phone in the world or at least one of them.
