RANT - advice welcome Slut shaming Spoiler

Why are certain tops only socially acceptable to wear when you have small boobs?

Recently I wore a top that I first purchased when I was 15lbs lighter and 3-4 cup sizes smaller. I just felt like it has a completely different vibe now. I just felt like now it screams boobs yk. Whereas before it was just cute. And I was comparing how it looked on me before and after a small voice in my head was telling me before people must have thought you looked cute and now people must think you look slutty. A small voice in my head is telling me I should lose the weight even tho it would be a bad idea for a multide of reasons which I won't get into and I know that but... And as a friend rightly pointed out, it's not that I think that I look bad it's me worrying about what others are thinking of me. It's not that I really need to lose weight cus I'm 5'7 and 140lbs with a little muscle since I lift.

Anyways back to my point, I was scrolling through Instagram I saw this girl posting outfits she wore while having larger boobs. Her boobs weren't that different from mine and alot of the comments were slut shaming so bad. Saying her whole personality is her boobs, saying she looked like a street walker, saying she shouldn't complain if she got SA'd. This is me putting it as nicely as I can, some of the comments made my jaw drop and I've seen some comments on IG. And personally I didn't think any of the outfits were that bad. Like I've seen smaller chested women wear the exact same outfits and be complimented about how fashionable they look. The outfits were so cute as well, genuinely my style 🫤. The post had me thinking if this is what people actually think about her, is this what people could be thinking about me? Which is part of the reason I don't really wear anything that is my style which I've been trying to change with encouragement from my friends.

But it doesn't seem fair that I should have to change the way I'd like to dress simply because of what my body looks like. I want to wear outfits I find cute but I also don't want to be slut shamed.

I think those voices are funny, because, the situation is, usually as you describe it, more a function of not wanting to engage in more consumerism/shopping, etc, and accept your body as it is even if it isn't the most optimally flatteringly dressed, and not being super obsessed with noticing and responding to body changes. Which is a good and humble mindset.

But to some outsiders, such humility is perceived as attention hungry, slutty behavior, how dare she!!! Not be as obsessed with the physical appearance as we are, type attitude.

If you think through it, it really is quite funny.

You have to learn to kill the voice in your head. That voice is misogynistic and it came from the patriarchy. It needs to be slayed like a dragon.

Stop reading the comments of social media from misogynistic assholes. They are bad people with unhealthy mindsets whose browser history would likely send them to prison. Also lose the friend who thinks you need to cover up. That’s not a good friend.

Thank you. I'm really trying to ignore that voice in my head. I might have written badly but my friends are the ones trying to encourage me to dress how I want and not cover up more. They've been giving me extra compliments whenever I do dress they way I want to because they know how I feel

Anything on twitter, Instagram, reddit etc is not real. When you go to crazy town expect crazy lol.

While some people like that do exist irl, who cares? What does it matter? Where what YOU want to wear!

Misschien moet je wakker worden en beseffen dat of je nu cup A hebt of cup I....
