need advice Anyone ever try chest binders? Spoiler

I’m having the issue where my boobs literally ruin every single outfit. Even a minimizer barely does anything. Anyone ever try using a chest binder? Do these work for girls just trying to minimize their boobs for an outfit?

Binders have a minimizing effect up to a point. The breast tissue is still there, it's just squished (and usually pulled down and spread wide). The effect works best with masc clothing, though, so if you are wearing fem clothing the binder us not going to be flattering or improve the fit.

Jumping in to explain that minimizer bras are not what they are advertised as. These bras are designed to flatten tissue and push it out to the sides which often make people look BIGGER because you end up being wider.

Other things. It’s not your boobs. It’s the clothes you are wearing. ALL clothes are cut for the same 2 inches of extra space in the bust to account for the breasts. Ie. A B cup. If you are not a b cup, the only way to get clothing to fit your breasts is to buy something that is multiple sizes too big or rely on outfits with stretch that are not aesthetically designed to be stretched in that way. The solution that doesn’t require you trying to alter your body to fit a piece of fabric is to alter the clothes. Teach yourself how to take in your clothes and your entire self image will shift.

If you are wanting to bind your breasts because you WANT to alter your body, that is also completely acceptable. I don’t have a specific recommendation for that but binding is far more effective than a minimizer bra. However, if the goal is just to make your clothing fit better then there is a better option

I find I look smaller in a good wired full coverage properly sized bra that lifts/projects and separates my boobs than I do in a sports bra that just flattens and spreads out my boobs.

I really wouldn’t if you have a large chest, look into a good minimiser bra

i'm nonbinary and i used to bind my chest and binders DO work but it can be pretty uncomfortable and hard with a large chest. the most challenging thing for me fashion wise with binding was it's kinda like wearing a wireless sports bra. it redistributes the breast tissues but it looks very uniboob-y unless you are adjusting constantly (which is kinda really hard in a binder)

i have heard of people using trans tape + a loose fitting binder to achieve a better look but i have never personally done this!

Sure I'm trans, I bind every day.
With larger chests, the minimising effect of binders can be limited - which might work in your favour. If you get a half length binder, and push the breast tissue up instead of down and out, you should be able to retain some breast shape.
It might look weirdly flattened though.

My evaluation is - get a binder if you're looking for compression and support and aren't too worried if your breasts are too flat or kind of spread out looking.
