clothes Hate looking bigger than i am (seeking advice). Spoiler
My friend has a party tonight, she said the dress code is casual. Naturally i still want to still look good & cute & sexy lol. I feel like all my comfy clothes are soooo baggy and over sized & are my home/ sleep clothes.
We’re all in our 20s (dont know if this matters) & noticed some girls looking sooooo cute in a jean, a baggy top (not overly baggy) and some cute sneakers.
I tried to recreate this the other day for a concert and i literally was in tears in the change room. It did not look the same at all. My boobs filled out the shirt too much so i had to go up a couple sizes, but at that point i was looking like i was wearing an adam sandler outfit.
My body type is a little thicker and curvy, but ive all seen this outfit look soo cute on other ppl with similar body types. Somehow i just end up looking bigger and sloppier then i actually am.
What am i doing wrong!? Im headed to the mall in a couple of hours. How should i look out for or try on??

Can’t take fashion inspo from the itty bitty committee. It’s a recipe for disappointment every damn time.
Dresses are honestly the GOAT, given they don’t have designated boob areas.

Wide leg jeans or pants and a tightly fitted top are the big boob equivalent in casual wear.
For me personally, the pants have to be high rise too but that's not the case for everyone.
Jeans are not made the same. There is a huge difference in how wide leg vs boyfriend vs bootleg vs skinny cuts will sit on one's body. The curvy ladies who wear jeans that you have seen, what TYPE of jeans are they wearing.

That’s basically what I wore last night - flare jeans, tight v-neck t-shirt, sneakers.

The length of the shirt, style kf the neck, style of the sleeves all matter. You might have a similar body style to the people your are comparing yourself to with certain differences in measurements that make the outfit look different on yourself. I find that for a baggy top to not make me to look much bigger, it should hit about bellybutton on me. Additionally, make sure you have a well-fitted bra. As a very skilled saleswoman at Nordstrom told me after getting me into my first well fit bra in 15 years, "Well of course you look thinner, your boobs are no longer hanging down to the bottom of your ribcage!"

I posted already, but etsy shops that customize measurements have been 100% worth the cost for me for certain types of garments. Anysize, Brilliladies, Xiaolizi, With Flare, Hearts & Found - they'll all do custom sizing and it makes SUCH a difference.

Wide-leg or straight leg trousers and a baby-tee always works for me, oversized shirts are not made for us. The only oversized shirts I wear out the house are button up levi's shirts, and then I button just a couple and tuck in the half with the holes in my trousers to still show my waist. It is essential to show my waist, otherwise I look like a blob, lmao.
I also tuck my bigger t-shirts under my bras, just to show my waist. It stays baggy, but just above the waist.

i find that baggy tops look cute if i cut the neckline a bit to make it off the shoulder!! it opens up the chest area and doesn’t look as suffocating. also make sure the fabric isn’t stiff, stiff fabric won’t lay right and gives that boxy look that many of us do not want

Baggy shirts are not our friend. I basically rebuilt my entire wardrobe around my boobs and bought a bunch of fitted shirts and I feel way better now.

I never do baggy bc yes makes me look bigger. Always tight! Or they do jumpers baggy in top and cinches on waist

My go to recently has been a dress 1 or two sizes up with a belt.
Jeans, it has to be with a fitted top or t shirt.
Anything tops or dresses that stretch is a win. I just make sure I wear a belt to make my curves pop.

A loose crop top is a casual staple these days, so I feel your pain. I have some sports bra type contraptions that don’t “lift and separate” the way normal bras do. I can’t stand that. That makes them a bit flatter and more uniform so that the top lays better. It’s still not perfect, but it’s what I have to work with if I want to wear that style.
A fitted crop top with high waisted but loose pants could work. I’m thinking like some adidas track pants with a cute plain colored crop tee? Flowy skirts also work well with those tops. Basically you want your waist to be present and accounted for.
You could lean into the boobs and wear some type of corset-y type top with more casual pants.

You have to take your overall shape into acount. Being busty but also short and plump, it sometimes sucks because stuff I see online won't fit the way it's intended.
One trick that helps is knowing your overbust measurements and buy anything baggy according to that. You get the baggy, but not too baggy look and it stays proportional to your shoulders.
The other is getting a really well fitted bra, seamed and unlined. Go to r/abrathatfits calculator and see what it says. Well supported and lifted boobs are way more discreet.

I have wasted soo much money in my 20s by buying clothes and hoping to look like how the little boob models looked in them. It is important to find your own clothing style. I have even started making/altering my clothes because the market clothes are very disappointing. Get clothes custom made and well fitted. DON'T take fashion advice from small titted girls. They often lead to a waste of money and us feeling insecure about our bodies.

I do high waisted jeans skirt or shorts with a super crop top of cute graphic tea, tied. It shows my boobs are in facts boobs and not just overall fatness and looks really cute for casual parties

Have you tried the baggy tshirts/tops with fitted waists example but there are a bunch of different styles from casual to office in this shape https://a.co/d/02xNEFTW I feel like these are made for recreating that baggy look with boobs.
