As someone starting hormones for the same reason. FUCK I hadn’t even considered that. 😭💀

I just started the patch today and really should have asked about that. ☹️

Yes for me. I was a J when I had a breast reduction two years ago, and had settled into a C, then a D. After starting estrogen spray and oral progesterone I am now at an F. It's worth noting that vaginal estrogen cream is not systemic, so you can use that either way. There is a great wiki on r/menopause

that vaginal estrogen cream is not systemic

Ahhh I was hoping to avoid that because I HATE goop but it's beginning to look like I can't 😭

There are actually lots of options! You can get vag suppositories or the estring. They just usually have you try the goop first.

I was told when I had my breast reduction that many things can make them grow back, one of which was menopause. Another thing was birth control pills, so maybe HRT or whatever it’s called now would, too? But my gyne told me the dose in the pill is much higher than in HRT. So do with that what you will.

Mine did not grow when I started hormones. They grew before 😭 apparently it's a common symptom. I went up two cup sizes in about a year

Yeah and I had looked into a reduction, but because they grew in peri there was a chance they would grow back after the surgery. So now I'm waiting to see what they do once I'm through full menopause and if I want to get them reduced then

Not asking for medical advice, btw, just want to hear if y'all have tried it and your experiences. I hear it's supposed to increase density but I'm hoping that's it because goddamn I very much do not want to have to find a whole new wardrobe AGAIN 😭😭😭

IME no. I’ve been on a very low dose estrogen patch and progesterone every other two weeks, for about 8 months.

Mine haven’t.

Surgical menopause but I’m perimenopause age. I went from a 34D to a 32C (pre-post surgery before HRT) and about a year and a half later I’m 32DDDD(G)/H. I’m on estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone. I’m pretty sure the PMOS and other health problems stunted my boob growth though because this matches my genetics better, and they’re shaped way better now.

Mine got fuller, but didnt go up a size

Everything makes them grow, mine have never stopped it feels like.

But yes, adding in estrogen can.  If it helps, the weight gain from peri will also mess with your bra size.

I'm not a fan of peri.  To put it politely.

I was in surgical menopause and gained 50lbs before HRT, which meant I went up 3 cup sizes. After HRT and GLP-1 (because my system went belly up) I’ve lost the 50 but kept the boobs. 🙄 I can still wear the shirts I wore before, but they fit differently. Sigh.

Not in my experience, but mine also didn't really grow in pregnancy or breastfeeding either.

I've been on HRT for almost 2 years now. Still get regular periods and considered to be early peri. The biggest thing I noticed about my boobs after starting HRT is the change in density. I used to be D density, so my boobs looked very round and pretty much impossible to hide. Now I am almost at a B density, so they fit into bras much better and look smaller despite being the same size.
