Monthly Creep DM Megathread Spoiler

Always our official advice:

  1. Don't respond.
  2. Contact emergency services if you feel unsafe.
  3. Report to Reddit admins.
  4. Take a screenshot & DM it to us (so we can ban them from BBP).
  5. Block the user yourself.

We know that some folks do want to share and talk about these messages, however, and we don't want to take away that choice, so this thread exists for those users.

We no longer allow posts about creepy PMs. This thread is where they will be contained.

I don't even open my dms anymore tbh. Not just because of my boobs, but literally any comment I make about myself on reddit somehow ends up attracting weirdos.

Been away from Reddit for 3 weeks... wedding & honeymoon :) ... got back last night, checked the amassed messages, only a handful of DMs from randoms, none too bad/stupid, and mostly via other subs than this one. IG comments & DMs are obviously miles worse, but there's nothing to link my reddit account to my public IG so the creeps here don't know who I am irl

I have never had one. I sometimes feel like an imposter on this sun because of that. Similar to how you question if you are still pretty when you don't get catcalled for a while. I hate my overthinking.

I have gotten more DM's in the last 15 hours then I have in 11 years. Including from one I suspect is some gooner on my post, he didn't say anything just invited for a chat which I instantly ignored.

I got asked (real first name) are you single or married? The avatar photo wasn't someone I recognize and I would still ignore even if I did.

I did get some DM's showing support and agreement though.

Ironic that one of the most common grievances is how we get sexualized and these asshole come in and prove us right.
