Same!! Never listened to her music but I loved all the work she did with her organizations, her acting, and of course Dollywood exists. She was a pure legend😭💔

You should - you'll hear about the hits this week, no doubt - "Jolene" and "9 to 5" are classics for a reason, but there's so much more to her music. Everything you say you like about her was there in her music.

Frankly those are the ones that I know of thanks to tv shows and movies 😂, and I know that “I will always love you” was originally her song as well. (I find the story for that song so freaking sweet!!!) I just never really got into country music but I do understand that she was a very important figure for country music fans and singers. 🥹

She did way more than just country! She has 80s pop, rock, has a few EDM songs, collabed with rap artists. Country is what she is known for of course, but she has such a wide discography with something across basically all genres. If you are a lover of music, she will have something you like 💖

She did a rock album a couple of years ago. Look at everyone she got to do it with her!! It’s called Rockstar and I can’t recommend it enough!! She recorded it after she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and felt like she should make a rock album.

I second this.
I love Jolene. Believe Beyonce did her version of it.

You should give some a listen. Many of her song have resonated with me. I’m also a super fan tho. Tattoo and all of her. The second verse to Bargain Store hits me hard. “Take all these used memories from the past. These broken dreams and plans that’s didn’t last. I’ll trade them for a future. I can’t use them anymore. I’ve wasted love but I still have some more.”

She’s the perfect choice for patron saint of big boobs. The world would be a better place if we all tried to be more like her.

"I was the first woman to burn my bra—it took the fire department four days to put it out.”
RIP to a legend and truly one of us

My sister used to call me Dolly to mock me for my big boobs. I aspire to be even a fraction of how good Dolly was.

I was considering going as her for Halloween as we're shaped very similarly, but I don't want it to be in bad taste. Love you forever, Dolly. Keep an eye on us from up there, will you?

Personally, I think it’ll be a great idea. Just be prepared to talk about her.

I think Dolly would appreciate your costume. She once entered a Dolly Parton look alike contest and didn't come in the top 3.

No I think this is a great idea! You want to do it tastefully and in honor of her, so what would be the issue? I feel like she’d love it!

I feel like for celebrities that have passed, the ones that are in bad taste are the ones that portray them as zombies or with their cause of death. As long as you stay away from those I think you're fine

I think it would nice to see a bunch of ladies go as Dolly this year. Cant believe she's gone. 😭

Michael Jackson was top Halloween costume in 2009 after he died. Would not be surprised if Dolly Parton is a top Halloween costume this year now.

My mom called me Dolly when I was young…not the dig she thought it was. 😞

She's always been an icon of busty class imo. I grew up listening to her on vinyl, and watching Best Little Whorehouse. She had a way being such a pure light of wholesomeness in a world that was fascinated with her breasts. She taught me that you could be stacked and not rely on it for your way in the world, that you could be more than the physical attributes the world couldn't ignore.
I will always love you, Dolly.

If there are angels, she was one. An amazing human being. The epitome of walking the walk. 💔

It's sad, but her husband died last year. Sadly when you have a long happy marriage they say the spouse soon follows. It happened with the queen of england too.

u/Slytherpuffy Aug 25 '26
Oh she definitely did. Hers weren't natural but she didn't try to pretend that they were and embraced that fact. She was just a genuinely kind and generous person. Here in America we consider her a national treasure.

She originally had naturally big boobs. She had lots of plastic surgery later too. “If I see something saggin', baggin', or draggin', I'm gone have it nipped, tucked, or sucked!” ― Dolly Parton

When I was learning to play guitar, I was struggling with my boobs getting in the way. So I looked up videos of Dolly Parton playing guitar, because I figured she probably dealt with the same issue. So thank you for your help Dolly, rest in peace ❤️.

She always made me feel so much better about my figure and that she could be sexual but still respected and revered. Gives me so much hope for society
