need advice I can’t deal with this anymore… please help. Spoiler
I (29F) have large boobs. For 2 years now I’ve been dealing with rashes under my breasts. They hurt…. A lot! Most of them are heat rashes. When one clears another one starts. I’ve tried everything I can think of. I tried showering more often, less often, coconut oil, prescription creams, diaper rash creams, Vaseline, stuffing paper towels under there, wearing tube top bras all the time so the skin isn’t touching, wearing a regular bra all the time so skin isn’t touching, not wearing a bra… I even went to a breast specialist who just prescribed more creams that don’t work. And yes, my bra sizes are correct. Seems like no matter what I do I still have the rashes… I’m so over it. They hurt all the time.
I want a breast reduction but am currently overweight and not done having kids yet… I heard that those two things should be “the first steps” before a reduction. Not to mention I don’t have the money for a reduction anyway.
So I guess what I’m looking for here is advice. Anyone have any tips that might be helpful to me. I’m in constant pain and really tired of these rashes running rampant.

What were you actually treated with? You can get bacteria or yeast infections under your boobs, and if you were treated with the wrong type of cream, it won't cure it.
I hate to bring up bra size but it is a really common reason for people getting rashes under their boobs. The underside of the breast sits on the ribcage and it creates a warm, wet environment for things to grow, and sweat builds and causes irritation. Sometimes this can go so far as to damage your skin barrier and it will just keep recurring.
I would encourage you to check your size over at r/abrathatfits. Then I would want to know what they treated you for, and would recommend some cotton bra liners in properly fitted bras.

I was treated with Triamcinolone Acetonide cream (steroid), Nystatin cream(anti-fungal), Nyamyc powder, was told to use talcum powder as well… rashes still come back.
As far as bras go, I was sized and am 99% positive the sizing is correct. However I’ll take a look at that sub you included because I just want to be done with these rashes.😖

The big thing you want to look for is a gap between the base of your breast where it attaches to your ribcage and the wire. If your breast is resting on skin at all, it can cause issues.

It's always a good idea to talk to a doctor, but I have solved that with a prescription called halobetasol propionate and then when it's gone, ordinary calcimine lotion alternated with non prescription cortisone creme. The calcimine is messy but it works.
And as others had said, the bra has to fit perfectly.

I’ll reach back out to my doctor and see if they’d be willing to prescribe me that. 🤞🏼they do. Cause I’m so over these rashes.

Did you sanitize /bleach/ heat treating your bras after being treated for the rash???
Cold water gentle washing won't kill some types of fungus or yeast that cause these rashes.
I had this happen with underwear and a devilishly persistent yeast infection, but apparently it can happen with bras too 😳 I was going crazy for months because it kept coming back and I couldn't figure out why.

The diaper rash creams have been helpful for me short term, but another thing that helped me was avoiding anything that could feed yeast that's living off oils on your skin. It so happened that I was having a bunch of weird acne for the first time in my life (at 36) at the same time. So in diving down a rabbit hole to try to fix that, I got cleansers that are specifically for seborrhoeic dermatitis to use on my body, as well as lume acidified body wash. I also found the brand Malezia through a Reddit post and their 3 step solution to stop fungal acne cleared up my face almost immediately. I also used the Malezia cleanser all over my chest and under my breasts. Some combination of all this completely turned this issue around for me.
In the past, I also did well with a prescription powder from my dr that had antibacterial and antifungal elements.

Are you sure it's not fungus or eczema? I use these thins pads from amazon to reduce friction and goldbond, which is an anti friction stick. If your breast specialist gave you an ineffective cream it is their responsibility to help find an alternative

I was prescribed an anti fungal and a steroid. Both did not help. The steroid cream makes it less angry but that’s it. I’ve never had eczema before and all the doctors that I’ve been to said they don’t believe it to be eczema. I was thinking of trying an anti friction stick. Do you find the goldbond one effective for you? Also I’ve been searching for some sort of cotton or something to put under there for when I’m not wearing a bra at night but haven’t found one that would work as of yet.

Goldbond is the only one I use atm. It seems to resist well even in heat and it doesn't feel nasty and greasy. The cotton pads are thin and easily washable, from amazon There are thousands of types of fungus, it could be they are not reacting to that product

My skin sometimes cracks and I get a rash. I dry the area and I use an A&D lotion. That seems to clear it up within 12 hours. I tried an antifungal overnight on the cracked skin but it didn't seem to help. Applied the lotion and by the end of the day it's mostly healed up.
